A weekly podcast for knowledge about anything and everything. From North Korea to Nicolas Cage, Tim and Tom leave no stone unturned in their humble quest to make the world a more informed place. Put away the encyclopedia four-eyes because this may just be the last resource you'll ever need. Wikipedia, consider yourselves on warning.
The world is slowly getting back to normal and we can all agree the thing we miss most is buffets. This week we discuss the various types of all-you-can-eat schemes and offer some pro tips on how to absolutely gorge yourself. Also Tom goes away to the woods for the weekend and Tim peruses the Buffalo Wild Wings website.
It's Tom's 40th birthday, and he's officially "over the hill" which means he's closer to his death than to his birth, a funny concept that everyone makes jokes about when someone turns forty. To deal with this terrifying milestone, Tom shares some wisdom he's picked up over his four long decades on earth.
After last week’s man cave discussion, we (Tom) decided we should continue the conversation with a frank talk about Arcade Games. We run through some of our favorite arcade games of all time, take a trip down memory lane to The Ground Round, and Tom shares his tales of arcade humiliation and triumph that travel the world all the way to Tokyo, Japan.
Where can a man go to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life (and get away from his family)? Why, a weird cave thing that he built himself. This week, two men who will never have enough space in their homes to build a man cave for themselves discuss what they think other guys do with their space and imagine what it's like watching a movie in George Lucas's private theater.
Marijuana (aka “Grass”) is officially legal in New York and all it took was our governor desperately looking to change the conversation from the multiple credible allegations that have been made against him! This week we’re talking all about God’s Herb and the new laws that are now in effect in the state of New York.
Ever have to drive (or be a passenger) for a long time? Well, my friend, you had yourself a long drive. This week we're talking about sitting in a car for a long time and being bored. We also discuss the new Justice League movie and go on an unexpected tangent about gross novelty items. Sorry.
Guys, I’m not sure how I stumbled upon your podcast, but I’m so glad I did! Thanks for keeping me company on my work week, and keep those podcasts coming. Great stuff and so hilarious!
12 minutes in - two guys amusing each other with their banter; 17 minutes they touch on the topic for the first time - Mars ! 22 minutes we get the Super Camera jokes; my take so far: these guys really enjoy each other’s company. That’s terrific. At 28 minutes it’s time for four minutes of commercials; 35 minute mark we’re now sort of discussing the Perseverance Mission. At around 36 minutes I’m listening to them question the scientific wisdom of sending better photos & how NASA should have done it. Soon after we get Martian jokes and I’m done.
What I got out of this: we’ve reached the point where half the population are creating podcasts.
And Fake It Til You Make It should be the name of their show.
“Have you ever seen anyone write in shorthand....?” After 40+ minutes I’m thinking these guys are lucky to have one another. Two stars for that. But please find another vocation.
