I specifically wanted to hear an interview with the great director Lucky McPhee but for what seemed like most of the episode the interviewer was making his own assessments, observations, and personal thoughts, at one point even talking over him. He almost didn’t seem that interested in McPhee’s stories about his experiences in the film game.
The interviewer is obviously very knowledgeable but when you spend almost as much time talking about someone else’s movie more than discussing a guests’ work, especially one accomplished as McPhee you need to work more on your interview skills.
Talk less, man. Listen more.
