Disappointing

Embarrassingly uninformed takes on great movies—at least on the part of one of the hosts.

If you don't know...don't critic

I am researching Magic Flute and I run into the Criterion Podcast on the Ingrid Bergman movie. The complete ignorance -as if they can because they are suppose to critic- is astonishing. You might not like opera, you might not like the movie. But you have no tools to talk about it (not to start with the pronunciation of the names of the characters), so better invite a guest if that is the case. As for me - and I enjoy the Criterion movies- I hope these is a pastime, because if you are being paid... I hope you get fired. Please just shut up!

They should probably watch Andrei Rublev

Instead of reading the wiki plot of the film. No dilemma? Yeah, okay. SURE.
