Very Good

Exceptional, but far too infrequent. I do appreciate the longer episodes with the star studded panels, those have been great. If we can’t get episodes often, then I’d enthusiastically vote for this format. We don’t get any Brookings expert panel podcasts anywhere else; how about here? That’s where Brookings is missing out to the competition. As an aside, Ms. Pita has enviable diction, and is just top notch.

Implicit in the discussion is that achieving net zero is a 1 to 1 trade off - not true - going green is government subsidized (tax payers bear the cost) - green energy is unreliable - green energy is proven unable to consistently provide base power (hence fossil fuel backup req’d = added consumer costs) - green energy components utilize irreplaceable natural resources - disposal of batteries is an environmental unresolved problem - green energy cannot supply the energy required for our economy to grow - green energy is a government mandate not a free market decision The only climate friendly solution to our future energy requirements is nuclear.
Great stuff

I really enjoy the Brookings podcasts. The quality of the events and interviews are superior both in production and content to ... other think tanks podcasts.
Have US counterterrorism efforts improved since 9/11?.

Yes and no! The bad news as I interpret presenter: we are still creating the terrorists we fight and Trump has accelerated the rate at which we do it. Excellent 7 minute analysis.
