Enjoyed listening to this debut episode of The Daily Analyst! Full disclaimer, I'm a student of TMB Analytics, so exploring with and learning from Matt already comes easy for me.
That said, the WHY and reason I follow Matt's teachings and advice are the same reasons I enjoyed this podcast - Matt walks the talk. There's no fluff to the advice. Heck, some of it isn't even unique, such as "know yourself".
But, in this podcast, Matt does what Matt does well - add a helpful dose of Matt Magic. See, it's easy to say "know yourself" and expect that those words will catapult you into a career in the Datasphere (or elsewhere). No. No they will not.
Matt's Magic goes deeper than just those words. Matt uses the art of storytelling to illustrate, through putting those words into ACTION, the WHY and HOW behind those words.
The action is what will catapult a career, or even in some cases - start one.
Oh! And be prepared to learn a bit about personal branding. It's key to making career moves.
Do yourself a favor. Grab an evening snack or prepare to tune out your morning commute, then set aside half an hour. You'll be glad you did.
