The Daniel Smrokowski Podcast

The Daniel Smrokowski Podcast began as a chronicle of my five years as a Sargent Shriver Global Messenger for Special Olympics (2018–2023), featuring more than 45 episodes of global speeches, panels, interviews, and behind‑the‑scenes moments from a life dedicated to inclusion. Now, beginning in 2026, the podcast enters a new chapter. This series follows my journey as I write my memoir — a personal story of being born prematurely, growing up with developmental disabilities, navigating school from early childhood through earning my bachelor’s degree in journalism, and finding purpose in the Special Olympics Movement as an athlete leader for more than 20 years. It’s also the story of becoming a podcasting pioneer for 18 years, where communication has been both my greatest challenge and my greatest passion.
