    Scream Queen and former Child Star Anastasia Washington

    Child actor turned adult scream queen and stand up comedian Anastasia Washington joined Mark and Nicole to kick off the Halloween season early and with a bang. Anastasia began her show business career at 3 years old inadvertently stealing the spotlight from Shamu at Sea World, this led her parents to get her an agent leading to roles in Die Hard 2 (where she proceeded to vomit on Bruce Willis) and both Addams Family and Addams Family Values where the late Raul Julia took her to lunch and calmed her down after a temper tantrum on set and where she was unable to concentrate on her studies while Christina Ricci was gushing from a prosthetic wound. She also was bullied by Frankie Muniz on the set of Malcolm in the Middle and denied cake at a school birthday party which turned out to be at a neo-Nazi's family home. She overcame all of that to become an accomplished stand up comedian, podcaster and regular at horror and pop culture conventions, at one of which she got a very unusual proposition from some Bronies. She also tells us about her celebrity crushes which include Tom Jones, Eddie Murphy and Steve Buscemi (!) but not Jeff Goldblum oddly enough...     Brad Forenza talks working with Vincent Pastore

    VIncent Pastore who played Big P***y on the Sopranos passed away this week. In his honor we are replaying out show with playwright/actor Brad Forenza who worked with him on his award winning podcast Around the Sun Mark and Nicole welcomed Brad Forenza, the creator of the award winning radio play Around The Sun to the lighter side of the dark side for a wonderful conversation. Brad talked about how growing up in Jersey City has made him identify as a New Yorker, even though he is in a different state.     Queenie Black from 2022

    In response to fan requests, Mark and Nicole were joined by artist and goth trendsetter Queenie Black for a fun show which truly takes you to the lighter side of the dark side. Queenie talked about growing up as a "Valley Girl" who transitioned from being a punk rocker to loving Adam and The Antz (with a Z) to loving the emerging Death Rock scene as it was known then. She gives her own definition of what is goth and what is gothic, talks about her impressive 190 pound weight loss and how she deals with having vitiligo. She has become an impressive artist, with her dolls fetching big numbers on ebay, offering all sorts of unique creepy fun things on her etsy site and she details the story of how she was courted by Hot Topic and how a corporate takeover led her to manufacture a significant number of dolls with now distribution.She also describes her online following which has accepted her as royalty from the chat rooms in the 90s to TikTok and beyond today...     Dave Carter and The Strange Goth from 2018

    Blogger and model The Strange Goth and comedian Dave Carter joined Hannah and Mark for a fun show and found that they had a lot in common.   The Strange Goth talked about her parents recognizing the darkness within her at an early age. How she initially found he goth scene in the Bay Area but has now found a home in the Los Angeles scene. She talks about what it was like to be on the cover of LA Weekly’s goth issue, why she doesn’t wear black all the time, what it is like being a woman of color in the goth scene and set the scene for her future wedding where she will walk down the aisle on fire.   Dave talked about how he discovered death rock and darker music while serving in the Air Force (where he was assigned to play volleyball), his beginnings doing improv in the hallowed halls of Second City in Chicago, his work as a voice over actor as the voice of dramas on FreeForm among others, how his wife reacts to him making jokes about her in his stand up act and how he is at a point now where his 5 year old daughter gives him advice on how to audition and survive in show business.   And we discussed the eternal arguments…are The Smiths, Marilyn Manson and Depeche Mode goth?

    4th of July Fireworks with Tomi Rae Brown, Sin Twisted and Martin McNeil

    Mark and Nicole welcomed TomiRae Brown, Sin Twisted and Martin McNeil for a 4th of July party in this classic Dark Mark Show from 2015 TomiRae reminisced about being a teenager on the Sunset Strip, living with Guns N Roses (all of them), what its like to have a business meeting with Madonna, to her marriage with James Brown. She went over everything about JB from the definition of a Sex Machine to how he styled his famous hair. Sin talked about how she will be performing in Dubai and how she took Pogo of Marilyn Manson to see James Brown at the Hollywood Bowl and how everyone was dancing in the aisles. Martin talked about starting out in a band in England in the 90s and the road that has taken him to where he is now as the #1 British artist on Reverb Nation.     Pride Month classic with Amber LeMay

    In another Pride Month classic from 2022 legendary drag queen and host of the talk show Amber Live! Amber LeMay joined Mark and Nicole for a fun and flirty show, Amber was zooming from Vermont and had lots of positive things to say about the state, from its lush scenery to its "live and let live" attitude (though it seems to be behind on its marijuana laws. She described growing up as a gay man in Ohio as not exactly as Glee depicted and Oprah Winfrey gets some credit in how she came out to her parents. She talked about founding the drag troupe House of LeMay who came directly from the "Hot Damn Trailer Park", raising money for many worthy charities (which included repelling down a 9 story building !), and starting Amber Live! which has given her the nickname "The Larry King of Drag" and given her the opportunity to interview several cast members of the Sopranos, Hal Sparks who showed Amber his thong and none other than Tiger King's Carol Baskin!
