    Alex Grass the master of horror and weird fiction is at it again. He has a new book out called Infernal Tramps and it is a worthy addition to his strange and macabre bibliography In ancticipation of checkin out this new tome we replay Alex's apprearance on The Dark Mark Show in 2021 Alex talked about his upbringing which took him from Pennsylvania to Israel, where he witnessed bombs dropping, and after some bad Shwarma, may have dropped some bombs of his own, how he worked on motorcycles, got tattoos, boxed and was the lead singer of the thrash metal band Shock Syndrome subverting the stereotype of the nebbishy jewish man,. He was kicked out of high school only to get his GED, College Degree and be oh so close to graduating law school when he dropped out to start writing his Lovecraftian novels Dreck and Black River Lantern which ponders magic and multiple dimensions in a carnival setting.     It is former Dark Mark Show cohost Josi Kat's birthday and to celebrate we are replaying her birthday show from 2014. It was Josi's birthday and Mark threw quite a party with a typically eclectic guest list. Actor/Model/Photogapher Eli Brooks talked about being in a Piss Ant video and brought Saariyah Syn who bellydanced for Josi. The fabulous Sasha Scarlett sang a sexy happy birthday song for Josi which entranced everybody, not the least of which Goth Republican Blogger Joseph Fein. Terrie Huberman gave Josi a "Water" psychic reading and former Piss Ant drummer Chuck Sapien recounted stories of being on the road with Josi. Nestor Rodriguez and Simon Kaufman did a freestyle rap inspired by the birthday girl and to top it off Orpheus Black demonstrated the art of rope play and everyone took turns giving a tied up Josi a birthday spanking.     It is Dani Danger's birthday. In honor of this occasion we are replaying her very first (of many) appearances on The Dark Mark Show all the way back in 2013! This is the show where this podcast really found its unique voice and style.  There was some Danger in this show...Dani Danger! The extreme sideshow performer/superhero showed off her body modifications to Dark Mark and Josi Kat which include antenna and Vulcan ears and has some fun with a taser and her nipples. Also in the studio was writer/cartoonist Dave Shelton who talked about creating Eye Crusties candy, his new children's show "Professor Creepy" and working at National Lampoon.     Today is Gary Garver's birthday. He is of course best known as the reporter for the Howard Stern Show and for his long running radio show Controlled Chaos. He is also responsible for The Dark Mark Show actually existing. So we are rebroadcasting the very 3rd DMS from way back in 2013 featuring him and eventual DMS cohost Josi Kat.     Friend of the show John DiResta is getting a kidney transplant today. We wish him all the best for speedy recovery.  Mark and Nicole welcomed NYPD officer turned sitcom star turned reality TV star John Diresta to the lighter side of the dark side. John grew up in Queens and did some NYC bonding with Mark. He talked about his days in the homeless division or Uber before there was Uber as he puts it, working as a transit cop which meant phone calls in the middle of the night to identify bodies run over by trains. He was always funny and pursued stand-up comedy with permission from his wife in exchange for conceiving a 3rd child. He talks about how he got a sitcom on UPN entitles DiResta, only to have it follow a slave themed sitcom and be the lowest rated show in prime time. He also signed the worst management deal in the history of show business. He recovered to star in Miss Congeniality with Sandra Bullock, 15 Minutes with Robert DeNiro and How to Lose a Guy in 7 Days with Matthew McConaughey and then went broke. He recovered by restoring lost treasures he found on the streets of his home in North Hollywood and having 3 reality shows with his brother Jimmy DiResta.     Shai LeBeouf nemesis Jeffrey Damnit

    Our friend Jeffrey Damnit was in the news this week as he was in Mardi Gras and ran into an apparently inibreated Shia LaBeouf which did not turn out well for Mr, LeBeouf. This is a great time to revisit his appearance on the DMS in 2021 Actor/Host/Creature of the Night Jeffrey Damnit and filmmaker "Zombie" Dave Reda joined Mark and Nicole for a horrifyingly hilarious show Jeffrey grew up in Chicago, where he was conquering the goth/industrial club scene as an underage teen, which led to him performing in a local freak show and eventually to Hollywood where he studied at Second City and with his whisky soaked voice and effortless cool became the Master of Ceremonies everywhere from EDC to Vampire Balls. He also had amazing facial hair, which led him to a beard contest with unfortunate results and recently to feature in a Lil Nas X video. Jeffrey also appears in Dave's new horror short "As Good As Dead". Dave's journey took him from Northern California to Hollywood where he was an extra in "So I Married An Axe Murderer" (he actually dared to speak to Mike Myers) to performing sketch comedy and developing the show Click This! He also appeared in Erotic Confessions though he remained clothed and his new movie was filmed during the pandemic is now appearing in film festivals all over the world. He tells us why he is nicknamed Zombie and regales us about a visit he got from The Morbid Mariachi.
