Decent and strange

Definitely not for everyone a bit edgy at times but there are some good eldritch horror in here. I also found it helps me get to sleep. I do get some interesting cosmic horror nightmares. But slipping into a strange dream of unknowable things is better than no sleep.

Highly Stylized Lovecraftian Shorts

This isn’t for everyone. First, you have to get over the voice, which I think was probably a bad choice mad years before. (Maeltpia has a similar problem). Then you have the high art prose style. These two are bonkers to combine, which is why I knocked off a star. Even if you don’t have CAPD like me, you end up working to listen.

These are perfect for my laying with eyes closed listening. The images and concepts are strange and engaging, but not for passive consumption. You have to relax into them, and then they become hypnotic.

I still remember the one where they woke in an inter-level, descending, closed building of some kind–or was that the dream it led me into? Years later, the memories of that story and the dreams I was escorted into are still both vividly remembered and entwined inextricably. They are like dreams.

I wonder what it would be like to be under the influence of something trippy hearing these. Maybe too much. Unsettling. But they are entrancing on their own.

I hope the creator is doing well, since they stopped making these after years of content, and starting way before most. Some real gems in here. Good weirdness.

So, are you going to keep posting to your show?

When i first started to listen to this podcast I was disturbed. I’m a pretty jaded person and I was surprised that I had to switch podcasts because I was scared!! I walked away for a couple of weeks until I decided to get past the “altered” scary voice and listen to the story.
The writing and imagination is awesome! Very dark, a touch of both demonic and sci-fi. The story line is unique and I have not heard anything like it. This is refreshing.
This show has recorded sessions from 2007, which is crazy amazing!! True dedication in my opinion.
A note of advice to the author, I would suggest to give a “listener advisory warning” at the beginning of your show to the listeners. Because if I got scared away, then I know for a fact that most who stumble upon your show will run away with tail tucked!!
Keep up the good work!!!
