    Noelle Silver is the VP of Digital Technology at National Public Radio (NPR), where she leads the engineering organization across initiatives ranging from the Alexa skills platform to mobile application development. Noelle has over 20 years of experience in tech. As a Principal Program Manager in the enterprise voice group at Microsoft AI, she led programs that empowered developers with AI algorithms that help applications see, hear, speak and understand user needs across the Microsoft application and tooling portfolios. Before NPR and Microsoft, Noelle was at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for 4 years, spending 3 of those years with the Alexa group as an evangelist and technical manager for the Alexa and Echo. Across her many other experiences, you will find that Noelle is surely an icon in the voice related AI space, as she has personally built a gambit of over 100 skills relating to all things enterprise voice, mental health, and self-development.

    Amongst Noelle's interests both personally and professionally, she is the founder of the AI Institute, which empowers organizations to think more deeply about AI, and she's also a founder of Women in AI, focusing on the amazing work that women are doing in the AI field ranging from voice to augmented reality. Noelle's been on NBC news to talk about how robots can make meaningful contributions to the arts, and was recently identified across the online tech community to be the #1 in a top 10 lineup of the best key-note speakers to have at your AI events.

    Uthappa covers options for establishing remote working environments in Azure, a technical discussion, and significantly IT focused (far more technical than past episodes as we get into the depth of the remote worker challenges), but for the laymen, people are having to work remotely due to social distancing guidance. From their laptop at home, workers need access to their businesses applications cross regionally, they need to collaborate, they need to access data and resources to continue business as usual, and without all these capabilities they would be unable to service their very own customers and maintain business continuity.

A Must listen!

As a self-identified tech enthusiast, who does not work in tech, this podcast keeps me up to speed on the latest applications of technology. I love the diversity of his guests and the different perspectives Derek brings to the topics. Also, generally a fun podcast to have on while at the gym or commuting.

Amazing in depth technology interviews!

The Data Binge is a hidden gem! Derek is basically the Joe Rogan of tech. He has a really natural flowing style and his position within Microsoft gives him an excellent inside track to get cutting edge tech interviews. High recommend subscribing for in depth and easy listening interviews with perfect audio quality!
