    The Slog

The DRS Crew considers the question: when do you decide to rewrite or just slog on through and fix it in the edit? Chat will probably bring a napkin with a plot scribbled on it. Is It Bad?

    Is It Bad?

Your words are terrible. You hate them. But does that make them bad? Terry and Paul, sans Veronica, discuss. Chat will present a napkin doodle made with ketchup as their magnum opus. Charlie Brown Gives Dirty Magick

Author, film maker, and publisher Charlie Brown joins the DRS Crew to discuss his kickstarter, his new magazine, and causes general mischief. Chat is not helpful in keeping us on topic.   Our links: Paul's store: https://payhip.com/paulecooley Paul's site:  https://shadowpublications.com Terry's site: https://www.terrymixon.com/ Veronica: http://www.voicesbyveronica.com/ Enjoy the show? Star Travel and Hand-Wavium

Warp drives. Wormholes. Infinite Improbability. How do you get your characters from one place to another over interstellar distances? The DRS Crew warms up their dilithium crystals, opens a space/time anomaly, and summons an infinite number of monkeys who want to show us their Shakespeare plays. Chat will no doubt join us via steam engine.  Our links: Paul's store: https://payhip.com/paulecooley Paul's site:  https://shadowpublications.com Terry's site: https://www.terrymixon.com/ Veronica: http://www.voicesbyveronica.com/ Enjoy the show? Maps, Wikis, And Renderings -- what do you actually need?

Do props, outlines, and other aids actually help in the writing? The DRS Crew ponders. You’ve got to like Squirrels and Tangents

Dead Robot’s Society is my go to writer’s podcast for pearls of wisdom and some seriously funny entertainment. With Terry’s squirrel brain and Paul’s tangents it keeps my attention from beginning to end. If you don’t like unprofessional humor, swear words and the occasional jabs at each other this isn’t the podcast for you. Find a more clean cut professional podcast. But for me this is absolutely awesome. When I am up at 5:30 in the morning getting ready for work these two goofballs help put me in a good mode and get me ready to face the day. Hands down entertaining and informative.

Pretty good stuff!

Great show guys. I Found you a few weeks ago, and have been listening to back episodes as I can. I'm an aspiring writer, especially writing Fantasy RPG content.

I just finished your epsidoe 520 - Find the Topic. You discussed that Star Trek is not military science fiction. Based off of your stand point, I do agree that it is a Science Fiction with some Military Science Fiction elements. The Dominion War in Deep Space Nine for example. In DS9 it felt more military sci fi than the rest of the series did.
What are your thoughts about Babylon 5 being another form of Military Science Fiction?

Good luck with NaNoWriMo! looking forward to hearing more episodes.

Too much chit chat

Seriously this podcast has some interesting titles for the podcasts, things I’d actually like to hear and learn about, but this whole thing could be reduced to a good 20min per podcast instead of this bloated nonsense full of chitchat and unnecessary insults hurled at each other.
