A Trip Into Late Night Past

Having been an [adult swim] fan for what is now reaching 2 decades, this podcast is a great historical look back and a great reminiscing of what made me fall in love with adult animation and indie comedy. Matthew Jay and Steve Yurko bring on amazing guests each episode and have been chronicling a late night block of entertainment that was so vital and instrumental in fostering a love of comedy, animation, anime, and the insanely weird. This is a podcast for anyone who has stayed up late with a group of friends and cheered when that black screen with white text hit the television ready to keep you company into the early hours of the morning.

Encyclopedic and Entertaining

Matt and Steve know more about cartoons than anyone I’ve ever met. It also helps that they’re both funny as hell and have that great podcast effect where you feel like they’ve been your real life friends for years.

Highly recommended to Adult Swim fans.

A Must Listen for any Adult Swim Fan

Matt and Steve’s love of adult animation is infectious. Each episode is a great listen whether they’re revisiting a beloved Adult Swim classic or dissecting and suffering through a cartoon that they will advise you to avoid by the end. Like all great podcasts the show is at its best when the hosts get lost in digressions that are barely if at all related to the episode topic. If you have fond memories of watching cartoons late at night on Sunday almost 20 years ago after being told to get out of the pool then this is the podcast for you.
