Strikes the perfect balance

This D&D actual play is probably my favorite going on right now. James is great as a DM, giving the adventure just enough detail that each of the players can interact with it in interesting ways.

He also has a great group of players who know how to balance the humor and seriousness of any given scene. Each one brings something memorable to the game. From the evil matchmaker grandma you can’t help but love, to an overly loyal rug, each of the characters in the podcast have inspired new ideas that I want to play with.

On a technical level, the podcast is well produced and edited. All the slow parts from a normal AP cut out but not so much that you lose the feeling this is a group playing a game. The sound effects are simple but effective, and you almost never have a problem hearing any of the voices.

In short this podcast is highly recommended. Everyone ages 10 to 50 that I have listened to this with has enjoyed it greatly and I bet you will too.
