The Awkward Dive explores things that are awkward about friendship (platonic and romantic) mental health and spirituality. I, together with some friends, will also spotlight our experience of the relationship that these three topics have with each other as well as their role in self-development.

    A verse tucked away in the book of Ephesians is the bedrock of this episode. A powerful verse that I'e read many times over that I'm sure you've also read is unpacked by the Holy Spirit in a way I've not understood so personally before. With this, I hope you receive it with fresh eyes.

    The devil never changes

    The devil uses the same tactics on all of us to manipulate us. There is nothing new that he does under the sun. Our weapon? The Word of our Lord God. Knowing it, understanding it, so we can use it as our defence against his manipulation. He knows the Word too, as seen in his testing of our Lord Jesus in the wilderness, but when we know it and arm ourselves with the knowledge of it, we can disarm and defeat him as our Lord Jesus did.

    One thing about me is that when I face a challenge, my knee-jerk reaction is to talk to myself or call a friend.
