I love the IG podcast and find this one enjoyable as well. My only disappointment is that, for an “audio commentary“ podcast, I was expecting more commentary on the actual plot/episode similar to what you might get with a special features commentary track were directors, writers or actors talk about a film as they watch along. For these commentaries, it seems the hosts and guests spend much more time talking about their careers, general production, etc. — to the extent that if you miss the countdown at the beginning you might not even realize an actual episode was synced up and playing at all. That said, the conversations are almost always engaging and I enjoy the rotating host/guest format which keeps things fresh. I just tend to listen without bothering to queue up an episode now because there really isn’t much “watch along“ going on.😉🖖🏻
