    How does TV transform who we are?

    Sitting through the 7pm - 8pm Doordarshan show on Wednesday with your family all gathered around the TV, to watching 'Oggy and the Cockroaches' in Hindi dub while waiting for a steaming plate of Kali dal and chawal. Oh how the times have changed, but did we change these smaller aspects of life, or did they change us? It's quite the paradox. In this episode, we'll talk about how television has affected who we have become, how changes in parenting methods and innovations affect the targeted audience of kids shows and the smaller details that make all the difference in the experience of the people watching from then, to now.     We all know that awkward moment when you’re standing in an elevator and having a full internal debate on whether it’s a good idea to smile at the person in front of you or not. Was it always this hard? In this episode, the rules of basic courtesy, greetings, nods, smiles, all of it, will be talked about along with how the generational awkwardness has grown or decreased from then, to now.

    Why is India such a Cricket Crazy Country?

    As an Indian, it’s almost a part of our DNA to inevitably feel compelled towards cricket. For some, it’s just what they grew up watching, it grew on some, some aspire to play it, some have no opinion and some ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. We have all kinds of variety here in India, so it’s only fair that we talk about it. Millions of people watch the match from anywhere in the world at any time they want, but was Cricket always this loved? Was there even enough coverage on the sport? We’ll talk about all that and how it’s different from then, to now.

    Sports are a highly respected and highly supported job choice all over the world today, and most of us choose to embrace it with open arms. But can you imagine a time that athletics and swimming and all other kinds of sports were seen simply as running around aimlessly, or ‘khel kudh’, considered a waste of time, especially  in India? Hear our views, from a young athlete in the 80s and 90s, to a swimmer 30 years later. See for yourself how being an athlete in school is different from then, to now.
