#53 - The Count of St Germain

The Count of Saint Germain. Most people have never heard of him, but to those who have, the name generally elicits one of three reactions.  To someone who hears his name thrown about on the peripherals, it likely induces a roll of the eyes.  To the conspirituality crowd of today, he is a literal god. An immortal Ascended Master living in a hidden city under Mount Shasta, guiding the spiritual evolution of humanity. A key Master in Helena Blavatski’s Theosophy that is worshipped still today as the central figure in the American offshoot of Theosophy, the I Am Activity. But to the initiated elites of the 18th and 19th centuries, he was the man. The man who walked into the Palace of Versailles dripping in diamonds, speaking every language perfectly, telling wild stories about being immortal while holding a bottle of the elixir of life. He was revered as an adept in the occult, a master alchemist, a Rosicrucian, and had the ability to walk into any secret society of the day and receive an honorary spot amongst the leadership. But all these people, no matter the opinion they have on him, all share one thing in common. Nobody is sure who he actually was or what he was doing. This is part 4 in our timeline of the Prisca Theologia, but this episode is going to be different. This wont be a sweeping overview of 100 years of Hermetic influence, this time we’re going to be more singularly focused. This story is the beginning of the inevitable outcome that was always going to happen once the church lost it’s grip on information and the secret societies of Europe reached critical mass. This is a story about one mysterious, immortal man, a secret society from Bavaria called the Illuminati, The French Revolution, and what they all have to do with each other. 00:00 - Introduction to The Count of St Germain02:35 - Recap of previous 3 episodes07:58 - Benjamin Franklin, Arthur St Clair and The American Revolution12:30 - Adam Weishaupt and the Illuminati25:17 - The Count of St Germain30:40 - Count St Germain in France39:35 - Count St Germain in Russia45:50 - Count St Germain in Germany47:15 - The Knights and Brothers of St John the Evangelist from Asia in Europe (The Asiatic Brethren)48:59 - The Convent of Wilhelmsbad and the merger of the Templar Rite of Strict Observance, The Asiatic Brethren and the Illuminati with the blessing of The Count of St Germain.52:00 - The Death of The Count of Saint Germain53:00 - The Rebirth of The Count of Saint Germain57:11 - Questioning the Immortality of the Comte de Saint Germain01:01:47 - Francis II Rákóczi01:04:29 - Gian Gastone de' Medici01:08:02 - The Rákóczi War Chest01:10:14 - Who was the Count of Saint Germain?01:13:27 - The Elixer of Life01:16:18 - Giacomo Casanova01:19:48 - What was the Elixer of Life?01:25:33 - In Summary01:28:44 - Giuseppe Balsamo01:31:01 - Count Alexandro Cagliostro01:32:20 - High Egyptian Masonry01:33:33 - The Affair of the Diamond Necklace01:37:12 - Cagliostro's Letter to the French People01:39:35 - Cagliostro's Confession01:42:14 - The Ghost of St Germain01:45:11 - Who was the Ghost of St Germain?01:49:23 - The Illuminati makes their move01:50:47 - The Jacobins take over01:52:08 - The Directory takes over01:52:30 - Napoleon Bonaparte01:54:33 - Napoleon takes over01:56:01 - The Great Game begins01:57:17 - The Black Nobility02:00:23 - Napoleon takes over again02:01:06 - Napoleon defeated, Rothschild buys Britain.02:02:31 - Setting the board for next time.

#50 - Prisca Theologia: The Hermetic Order

Episode 1: The Hermetic Order Strip away the modern political buzzwords, the internet rumors, and the contemporary paranoia, and you are still left with a substantial, ancient web of hidden history. In this foundational episode, we begin the attempt to demystify the origins of the world's most enduring esoteric traditions. We start at the beginning: tracking human survival from the cataclysms of the Ice Age and the Younger Dryas, and examining how early spiritual beliefs evolved in tandem with the stars. By following the precession of the equinoxes through the Astrological Ages, we explore the radical shifts in human theology, from the primordial Earth Mothers of the Paleolithic to the hierarchical Sky Gods of the Bronze Age. But this is not a story about the magic of the stars. It is a historical analysis of the power of belief, the pursuit of hidden knowledge, and how the elite classes have historically weaponized philosophy to govern. From Zoroaster’s invention of linear time and Plato’s "Noble Lie," to the pharmacological rituals of the Egyptian priesthood and the birth of Hermeticism, we trace a continuous thread of occulted knowledge. We follow this philosophical lineage as it is preserved by Islamic scholars and Sufi mystics during the European Dark Ages, before being absorbed by the Knights Templar. Finally, we examine how this ancient framework drove the Age of Discovery and ultimately laid the physical and ideological groundwork for modern Freemasonry. Topics covered in this episode: • The Younger Dryas and the theology of the Astrological Ages (Virgo to Pisces) • The discovery of gold and the rise of the agricultural god-kings • Zoroastrianism, dualism, and Plato’s philosophical architecture • The Kemetic origins of alchemy and the use of psychoactive botanicals in ancient rites • Hermes Trismegistus and the suppression of the Book of Enoch • The Sabians, the Hashshashins, and the preservation of esoteric science • The Knights Templar, Baphomet, and their geopolitical monopoly • Prince Henry the Navigator, Prester John, and the esoteric motives behind the Age of Discovery • Rosslyn Chapel and the birth of the Scottish Masons
