Staying Empowered and Focused In Your Divorce with Jackie Pilossoph

Staying Empowered and Focused In Your Divorce with Jackie Pilossoph

Divorce can be a chaotic time. And while you’re rebuilding your life, you catch yourself being pulled at every side – friends asking for the exclusive scoop, seeing your ex get into a new relationship, or sulking in pity that you’re never going to be in love again.
Divorced Girl Smiling creator Jackie Pilossoph wants you to regain your focus and take control of what truly matters… without being so hard on yourself.
Isn’t it amazing that you get to create something new? Now’s the time to give yourself grace and make the most of your clean slate.
Tune in to this episode on Staying Empowered and Focused In Your Divorce with Jackie Pilossoph
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Schedule time to feel your emotions. The most upsetting news could break out while you’re in front of your loved ones. And while hiding your feelings is helpful. Not sparing time to express it at all can be detrimental. If crying at a later time is difficult, journaling is a discreet way to release.
✔️ Make room for goodness to crowd out the negativity. Instead of allowing your worries to take up your time and energy, take a deep breath and recalibrate your focus. Get busy and fill your mind with gratitude.
✔️ You have power over how you feel. Even without a significant other, you can be secure in yourself by doing the work on your self-worth and confidence and creating the life you want.
✔️ Fix yourself to be in the best position to meet new partners. It’s not the people or your location. It’s your mindset and how you show up on dates. Have you aligned yourself to your highest, most authentic self? This will help you to attract the right people.
✔️ Start small and do what makes you happy! Be open to new experiences, revisit old hobbies you’ve once enjoyed, and take baby steps. The universe will notice your hard work and your little actions will build into something bigger.
Jackie Pilossoph is the creator and Editor-in-chief of DIVORCED GIRL SMILING, a media company comprised of a website, podcast, mobile app, and professional resources. Divorced Girl Smiling (DGS) is a well-known marketing platform, brand, and global community. DGS has a mission to empower, connect, and inspire men and women before, during, and after divorce. Pilossoph, who holds a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, is a former television news reporter and features reporter and writer for the Chicago Tribune.  Her syndicated weekly column, LOVE ESSENTIALLY, was published in The Pioneer Press, The Chicago Tribune, and all Tribune Publishing editions for 6 1/2 years. Pilossoph was also a Huffington Post divorce blogger for five years.

    The Power of Your Intuition

    The Power of Your Intuition

Get Notified On Launch Day: https://thepowerinthepausepodcast.com/.
It’s been over seven years since my divorce. And what an exciting ride it has been, discovering it as a gift that enabled me to fully live my higher, authentic self.
You’ve been here with me, giving my energies into this podcast, to share my knowledge and experiences in navigating your own divorce. However, I’ve felt that the universe is now leading me into a new path.
In this final episode, expect practical pieces of advice about leaning into your intuition and what this new chapter of my life will look like – a whole new podcast that you can enjoy and be inspired by.
Tune in to this episode on The Power of Your Intuition
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Your intuition is the quiet voice – amplify it. While your ego is the loud, obnoxious one that’s trying to keep you safe, ultimately it’s keeping you stuck. Paying attention to my intuition has gifted me with the knowledge I have now.
✔️ The more you lean into your intuition, the more abundant your life can become. Fighting it only gave me lack and constriction – which is what I’m feeling now about where my divine purpose is headed.
✔️ Start designing your life based on your intuition. Tune in to my future podcast, The Power in the Pause, to open the doors of prosperity and your highest potential. When you listen and tune in, you’ll be led to where you’re meant to be.
✔️ The ultimate rebirth comes from the lens of forgiveness. Moving forward and no longer identifying from my divorce is my next journey. Self-forgiveness allows us to illuminate our pure heart light and to fully lean into our intuition.
✔️ Your intuition isn’t a tool kit. It’s something you already have. What you need is the space to feel and trust it so you can start living a life that’s amazing.

How To Let Go and Just Do The Thing You’ve Always Wanted with Stacey Lauren

How To Let Go and Just Do The Thing You’ve Always Wanted with Stacey Lauren

This podcast is sponsored by Soberlink. To sign up and get $50 off your device, visit www.soberlink.com/wendy
If you could do anything right now, what would it be?
You may have been putting off that career change, that first date, or even that dream vacation because you’re too concerned about other people’s opinions and expectations.
Stacey Lauren is here to help you pursue what you really want to do. She introduces her antidote to inaction and the playful challenges she has been sharing on her podcast which got thousands of people moving and going after their vision for themselves.
Tune in to this episode on How To Let Go and Just Do The Thing You’ve Always Wanted with Stacey Lauren
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Practice the “I’m Game” formula. This acronym provides the steps so you can finally take action!
    Identify the why
    Mindset
    Goals
    Accountability
    My people
    Educate yourself and others
✔️ Get rid of mental clutter with this trick! Use your phone as a voice journal. Releasing it makes it easier to let go. And listening back to your recording, you’ll find some thoughts you’re holding aren’t really serving you.
✔️ You get to change that voice in your head. It’s okay to feel your emotions. Remember that the negative chatter isn’t you! Shift what it’s saying into something that benefits you.
✔️ Trust the process. Quit striving for perfection – there’s nothing wrong with messy action. Turn up the volume on your intuition. When you do something uncomfortable, there’s always growth on the other side.
✔️ Start with the little things. You don’t have to do something crazy! Whatever that new move is for you, do it. Try one thing you haven’t done before instead of choosing to sit down and stay in your comfort zone.
A true serial entrepreneur, Stacey Lauren has many titles, including CEO, founder, owner, podcaster, investor, and author. And she wears them all while embracing human-to-human connections.
While in college, an unlikely start selling books door-to-door instilled a solid work ethic and resilience skills in Stacey. These skills launched her on an upward trajectory to become a leader in sales, HR, customer service, and management.
She co-founded and scaled a successful staffing agency, building high-touch relationships to resolve the disconnect between employers and job seekers.
Her current labor of love is interviewing high-achieving, inspirational people for her Do The Thing podcast. Each awe-inspiring story reveals a formula that encourages listeners to go after what they want in life, set goals, and do the thing.

How To Co-Parent With A New Partner In The Picture with Mikki Gardner

How To Co-Parent With A New Partner In The Picture with Mikki Gardner

Settling a divorce isn’t the end of dealing with your ex-partner, especially when you have kids.
Certified Life + Conscious Parenting Coach Mikki Gardner guides parents like you to navigate the drama of co-parenting by being aligned with your values, setting boundaries, and focusing on what you can control.
Remember, you get to be the captain of your ship. You have the power to figure out what your co-parenting relationship looks like.
Tune in to this episode on How To Co-Parent With A New Partner In The Picture with Mikki Gardner
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Guide your kids through the co-parenting relationship. They quickly learn what they see, so be an example of integrity to them. It’s going to be hard, but they’ll benefit from you living a joy-filled, stress-free life.
✔️ Move from a place of self-awareness and “response-ability”. You have full control over outcomes by being mindful of your responses. Stay clear on your values, and only partake in conversations that align with them.
✔️ Allow everyone to have their own feelings and experiences. You don’t need to fix everything. Understand your place, and respect the rules of your co-parent’s household.
✔️ Be open to your ex’s new partner. Fighting against it will only hurt you. What matters is that they genuinely love and care for your ex and your kids. You are on the same team.
✔️ The person you divorced isn’t the same person today. People grow, learn, and change. Learn how to compartmentalize and focus on your life. They need to see you save yourself.
✔️ Show up the way you want to be treated. It’s easy to be passive-aggressive. But taking initiative is the best way to set the tone of what you want the co-parenting relationship to look like.
Mikki Gardner is a Certified Life + Conscious Parenting Coach, the host of Co-Parenting With Confidence Podcast, and a mom of 3 (her son and 2 bonus son)!
After learning how to navigate life post-divorce & using it as a catalyst for her own transformation, Mikki now helps moms move past the divorce drama to become calm, confident co-parents, even without their ex's participation.
Mikki is on a mission to help women navigate the emotional and practical difficulties of divorce and co-parenting while creating an intentional, joy + ease-filled life after divorce.

    ---
It’s funny how life sends us on paths we don’t intend. But where it takes us is always so amazing!
While my divorce and mom’s passing shook me to my core, it also pivoted me in directions I never thought I’d travel. It became a time of deeper self-discovery and developing my intuition.
Recently, I’ve also discovered my life’s purpose goes beyond divorce recovery. And today, I’ll share my thought process and how you too can apply this in thriving through your life transitions. Believe me – this wasn’t easy. But it definitely is doable.
Tune in to this episode on Life Transitions Are Stepping Stones
Key points covered in this episode:
✔️ Pivotal moments are uncomfortable for a reason. Like a caterpillar waiting in a cocoon to become a butterfly, life transitions are painful but true growth is waiting for us on the other side.
✔️ Reframe your perspective. Your divorce isn’t a sign of a failed marriage. It’s the universe telling you that you’re meant for so much more. This is your time to learn and become the best, most authentic version of yourself.
✔️ Reflect on what this transition means for you. What is it awakening you to? What is it preparing you for? Instead of feeling regret for the decisions you’ve made at that point, consider where this is taking you.
If you’re holding resistance from confronting this transition, ask yourself where is this stemming from. Because what I know to be true is that you’re on the path to a new you that you’ll fall in love with.
