When the student is ready the teacher will appear. This is proof to me. Stephen can take any subject at any level and explain in a way that anyone can understand. Stephen Taylor has developed his school of thought to a very high degree through extensive reading on the subjects of practice and the psychology of learning. That study, coupled with his years of teaching his own students has resulted in making him an authority on the subject of teaching drums. More importantly, Stephen gives students tools to teach themselves. This podcast highlights some of his core ideas. To really delve into his knowledge base I highly recommend his course The Art Of Practice. I have taken it and have found it to be the best money I’ve ever spent on study materials.
