From designing & selling her own line of African textile pattern Keds shoes as kid - through being musically influenced by her fathers network of musicians like: Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. Of which eventually showed her that the path to make money balanced with purpose was to return to her ancestral roots and become an architect. Clair Marie introduces us to how her training at SOM | Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP & Smith Group, in their NYC offices, honed her skills - working in the Technical Group at SOM & on Public Works projects at SG - she discovered the finer parts of architecture.
