    Immigration Trauma is real and what to do about it

    I left Benin with my suitcase along with my mother and two young brothers. All for better opportunities and to start over. Nobody educated me on how the system was built especially for new immigrants. I didn't know the US housing market is build on monthly expenses (rents, bills etc). What I saw on the TV growing up wasn’t the whole picture. How heavy a country can feel when it doesn't know your name yet.
