Hype Tip ➡️ Have a Cougar Summer

As I wrap up another season of The Empowered Millennials, I want to leave you with one simple message: Have a Cougar Summer. Now, this episode isn't really about younger men or women. It's about freedom. It's about getting to a place in life where I'm financially secure, emotionally grounded, and confident enough to stop making decisions from fear, scarcity, or the pressure to make everything last forever. This chapter of life feels lighter, more fun, and more aligned than ever before. When you know who you are, what you want, and what you're no longer willing to tolerate, you can finally enjoy people and experiences for what they are, not what you hope they'll become. Thank you for spending this season with me. Whether you've listened to one episode or every episode, I'm grateful you're here. I'll be taking a short summer break and will be back in September with incredible guests, fresh conversations, and some exciting things I've been working on behind the scenes. Until then, enjoy yourself with a kick ass COUGAR SUMMER! The Cost of Caring: Teacher Burnout, Boundaries, and Survival with Jessica Hawk of My Teacher Face

Teaching is one of the most respected professions in theory—and one of the most misunderstood professions in practice. In this powerful conversation, Jessica Hawk, retired public school teacher and creator of My Teacher Face, discusses the emotional, psychological, and physical toll that teaching can take on the people who dedicate their lives to it. Having spent 32 years in public education, Jessica has built a platform that uses humor, honesty, and real talk to validate teachers while helping the general public better understand what it's actually like to teach in America today. This episode is not about blaming teachers, parents, or students. It's about having an honest conversation about a system that often asks educators to give endlessly while receiving little support in return. Whether you're a teacher, former teacher, parent, or simply someone who cares about education, this conversation offers an important look behind the curtain and a reminder that teachers deserve the same respect, boundaries, and humanity afforded to professionals in every other field. Sex Work, Strategy, and Self-Ownership with Minnie St. Claire

What does it actually look like to build a long-term, sustainable career in an industry most people misunderstand? Before the explosion of Only fans, Minnie St. Claire, a Black Canadian cam model who entered the industry in 2003, long before the influencer economy, subscription platforms, and mainstream conversations about sex work. With no roadmap and little representation, Minnie had to figure it out in real time, learning how to turn a stigmatized space into a legitimate business. Over the course of 23 years, she didn’t just stay in the industry, she evolved within it. She built a brand, created financial independence, and refused to conform to the narrow narratives often placed on sex workers, especially Black women. This conversation goes beyond curiosity and into reality. Minnie breaks down what cam modeling actually looks like behind the scenes, from the discipline and consistency required to the business strategy most people never consider. She also speaks candidly about the stigma she’s faced and how she’s navigated it without shrinking herself. This episode is about more than sex work. It’s about ownership—of your story, your income, your identity—and what it means to build a life that doesn’t rely on traditional systems for validation or security. Losing a Friend to a Relationship: When Sisterhood Was Just a Stopover

Before our friends get sucked up into the motherhood vortex, we first grieve the loss to partnership. This episode unpacks the quiet heartbreak of losing a friend to a romantic relationship, why it cuts deeper than we admit and why letting go of a pick me woman is the healthiest thing you can do for your spirit. If you’ve ever felt confused, rejected, or even ashamed for how deeply this loss affected you, especially as a single or child-free woman, this episode validates that experience. It also challenges the cultural hierarchy that places romantic relationships above all else and asks you to question whether you even subscribe to that value system. It’s not about jealousy; it’s about realizing the friendship may have only existed as a placeholder until she found a partner. We explore how to process the loss, reclaim your self-respect, and intentionally build friendships with women who don’t disappear when romance enters the room. This episode is both a reality check and a permission slip: to grieve, to get honest, and to raise your standards for the kind of friendships you allow in your life.
