I like the content and style of Mr. Cohen's podcast. I do not like the fact that it's about 50% advertisement.

I am so sorry to hear that the podcast (and column) will be ending! A fond farewell. Our household will miss the podcast very, very much!

It's really tacky and detracts from the edification provided by the other content in the podcast. So, now, in a 10 minute podcast, you're going to make us suffer through a minute of a tacky song for a minute?

I've been a fan of this podcast for several years and listened to every episode, but I just removed it. The advertising is just too painful. I didn't time it, but it could easily be half the time. There is an ad at the start and another in the middle, before the second letter. The ads are not just a quick message from the sponsor with a tagline (which I can accept, since somebody has to pay for this). They go into lots of detail and interrupt the flow of the content. For content, solid 4 or maybe a 5, but for listening pleasure, just a 1.
