For squirrel brains and shiny object lovers, the most freeing moment of your life will be the moment you discover conventional wisdom isn't meant for you. It's meant for linear thinkers and specialists who are motivated by a different definition of success. We, on the other hand, know that doing what we love is not a privilege, it's an obligation. That's why in this multi-passionate corner of the internet, we’re designing lives and businesses on OUR terms, disrupting how it’s always been done and flipping the bird to all of the awful-sounding things we "should" do. Each week, join writer and rabble-rouser Jennie O'Connor in discovering why it's way more fun to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Veronica Llorca-Smith on Grit (or Turning Lemons into a Lemon Tree Mindset) - Episode #121

Veronica Llorca-Smith on Grit (or Turning Lemons into a Lemon Tree Mindset) - Episode #121

#121 - Join me and Veronica Llorca-Smith, a four-time published author THIS YEAR, triathlete, public speaker, and leadership consultant; she is, quite literally, a superwoman.

She writes about growth mindset, personal development and positivity, has lived in nine countries, and speaks six languages. She is a mom to two humans and a fur baby and has completed an Ironman.

I am in awe of her, so forgive my gushing as we discuss:
why she started writing, which platforms she chose and why,the difference between a niche and a vision (spoiler: multi-passionates need a vision),the value of an action bias, building community with Substack, and how to incentivize paid subscriptions (this part is GOLD),the time management system that makes her bionic, andhow grit helps turn struggles into strengths.
Read her excellent article You Don't Need a Niche, You Need a Vision. And be sure to follow Veronica's work on Medium.

Sign up for Veronica's newsletter, The Lemon Tree Mindset or connect with her on LinkedIn.
Her memoir, The Flight Home, is out now. Go get it! (👈🏼 affiliate link)

Must Exit ,

So good!!!

I’ve been really enjoying Jennie’s talking style and interview style. I started off with the Laura Belgray episode and moved on to the Greatest Hits. Now I have Adam’s interview queued up. And there are so many more episodes I want to binge on!

As a multi-passionate podcaster myself, my heart sings with joy listening to Jeannie share her perspectives and pointers. ♥️ I highly recommend Multi-Passionate Like A Boss to anyone who has more than one interest or talent. You’ll be inspired!
