Conversation with Caleb Weed (African Insights!!)

In episode 15 of The Exchange Experience, I (Musa A. Kabbah) hosted Caleb Weed!! Joshua Caleb Weed was born to an African American father of west African descent, and a Caucasian mother. Shortly after his birth, Caleb (Joshua) was given for adoption to a young family of a Pastor, his wife, and their other adopted son. Being raised in a multiracial home, in the multiracial community of Ellendale, Delaware created a deep longing in Caleb to understand his cultural ancestry, and what it means to be African. Throughout Grade School and in College, Caleb developed a passion for Media Production, Branding, Advertising, and Marketing. After a few years of building experience in the field, in 2017 he found “The 02 Collection Media”. To expand this business, he moved to the prominent east coast city of Philadelphia,  in 2019. While in Philadelphia, Caleb discovered 12 biological siblings from his Father, many of whom live in the Philadelphia area. The 02 Collection Media has since been growing, specializing in helping Black-owned businesses, and organizations create excellent branding strategies and marketing content. As a young adult, Caleb admired and studied figures in Black History such as Marcus Garvey, Malcom X, Nat Turner, and many more.  An ever-learning spirit and a love for African people all over the world eventually led Caleb to a state of unapologetic Pan-African Nationalism. In 2020, He co-founded Diaspora Networking, an organization dedicated to bridging the gap between members of the African Diaspora worldwide. “DN” as a global network provides regular networking and growth opportunities to young Africans around the world and connects businesses with resources and relationships needed to build the Global African Economy.
