James Dobson's Bastard Kids

I love this show. I’ve been listening since deconstructing and it has been like being in a weekly support group. Now I will say, I was raised an independent baptist and we were taught that the Pentecostals were too liberal, especially with their interpretations of the Bible. But that’s just my prejudice I guess. Even though some episodes I might not get into the topic, the hosts do a fantastic job and it is a well done show. I grew up with the same lousy religious upbringing, and really wanted to like this pod. But it’s BAD!! No Editing. Chrissy says THE STUPIDEST THINGS ALL THE TIME!!!! Usually about sex, bodies or gay people. Just STUNNING. This show could be so good, but it’s long, ULTRA tangential, never gets to the point, and I just can’t.

Honestly I haven’t even listened fully yet but anyone willing to do a series on CCFTL/Bob Coy deserves 5 stars. I grew up in that world during the Coy years and I’m still finding PTSD triggers. I’ll be listening soon and probably emailing. :)
