Welcome to this super casual podcast by Caroline Dooner, the author of The F*ck It Diet and Tired as F*ck.
Back in 2016, this podcast started off as a way to chat more about about recovering from diet culture. That's still a topic on the podcast, but now Caroline also talks about other relevant (and irrelevant) stuff about black and white thinking, cult mentality, exhaustion, productivity culture, and allll the rest. Caroline chats with other experts and practitioners about topics near and dear to her heart. There will be lots of rambling. There will be lots of conversations with her dog. There was even a one year period back in 2017 when she didn't know why her microphone was so loud. But this podcast WILL be free from diet culture, and wants to bring you relatable truth
Leaving Fundamentalism and Finding Trauma Healing
Today's episode is a conversation with Lindsey Lockett, trauma educator and coach, and she tells her story of how she left Fundamentalist Christianity, the fallout in her body and mind of living so long in such a binary belief system, and how she found trauma healing and nervous system work. It's an amazing story, and I can't wait for you to hear it!

Diet & Purity Culture in the Church
Today I am sharing my conversation with Leslie Schilling, MA, RDN, CSCS, CEDRDS-S, where she talks about diet culture and purity culture in the church (and how is mirrors our culture at large!). We also chat about Gwen Shamblin, the infamous "Christian" cult leader, and the way the bible was (mis)interpreted.
Though, today's episode is from the perspective how to change the mindset in the church from a focus on purity, to one of love, acceptance, and "grace" (a word Leslie breaks down in the conversation!). This episode is for all people, regardless of your religion, because the parallels run so deep.
And next episode will be a different conversation of leaving Fundamental Christianity and finding trauma healing.

When Anti-Diet Culture Becomes Culty Too
Is the anti-diet world culty too? Yes. It can be. (Anything can be!)
Therapist and Coach Catie Lynch and I unpack extremism in the anti-diet world, black and white thinking, “cancel” culture and mob mentality online, as well as what true healing from an eating disorder looks like beyond outrage.
“Can we focus on actually creating the life that diet culture took from us, instead of spending the rest of our life angry at diet culture?”
I also talk about microdosing, medical marijuana, restless leg syndrome, human design (we are both “projectors”), and MORE.

Also! My second book is out! You can read more about extremism and my restless legs in Tired as F*ck
Anxiety and The F*ck It Diet
Hello! Today's episode is short and sweet... I'm starting off with a 10 minute audio-chapter from the audiobook of Tired as F*ck. And, that audio clip just so happens to be about anxiety, and what it's like to be a person with a normal amygdala (aka, not a psychopath).
Then, I go over the three different "categories" of anxiety you will deal with when healing your relationship with food and weight!

I’ve Been on The F*ck It Diet for 10 Years
January 5th was the 10 year anniversary of The F*ck It Diet!!! (and my 34th birthday!) It's not the ten year anniversary of the book... but of my actual journey on The F*ck It Diet.
So, in celebration, I got on instagram live and read two excerpts from my new book Tired as F*ck, where I talk about what my TFID "epiphany," and what the beginning of my actual journey looked like. THEN the next day, my computer broke, so I'm currently posting this from my new $126 backup chrome book while my macbook pro gets fixed.
But in this episode, I'm sharing the clip from instagram live where I read those two excerpts!!!
Tired as F*ck comes out in exactly one month! On February 8th!!!
If you want to receive the rest of the excerpt where I share the beginning of my own f*ck it diet, pre-order Tired as F*ck, screenshot your proof of purchase, and then go to thefuckitdiet.com/fun and sign up for the pre-order bonuses!
Africa Brooke: Why Cancel Culture is Collective Sabotage
Today's conversation is with Africa Brooke! Coach, writer, podcaster, and author of the viral open letter, "Why I'm Leaving the Cult of Wokeness." We talk about her journey to where she is now, the dynamics behind what we call "cancel culture," the parallels between our own healing journeys, and tons more.

Just what I needed to hear. I have been dieting for 40 years.
Not sure what happened here, but things have gone down some strange “wellness” abyss. The holistic trauma episode….i just cant with this unscientific and uninformed advise passed off as trauma healing. This is just another podcast confusing folks and leading them farther away from science and making good choices based on evidence and data. Deleting.
Took a very unfortunate turn…
Used to be about diet culture, became weirdly preachy about holistic medicine (parasite cleanses, toxins, ‘inflammation’? Really???) and then just spiraled into bizarre cancel culture rants and this lady went full on anti-vax. The whole bit got old, and it got boring. Who wants to hear yettttt anoooother screed about how cancel culture is strangling thin white wealthy influencers, like it is seriously dull. FYI, you’re not canceled if you’re announcing it to your hundreds of thousands of insta followers and your podcast. Get a grip.
