Incredible

This podcast has been truly helpful and extremely important for me. In the midst of orthorexia, I found this podcast, and I’ve been recovering ever since. Thank you Christy for doing so much good work and sharing it with the world, and thank you to all the incredible guests who have shared their experiences. Also, very glad for the inclusive language and acknowledgement of privileges in the episodes.

Inspirational

Every time I Listen to this podcast I get so inspired! Christy is such a good communicator, I love her word choices, she is a pro at describing and communicating complex topics.

I recommend this podcast to everyone, and as a registered dietitian I use these resources a lot with my patients.

Yes there are some extreme views, according to some of the reviews here, but isn’t it nice to open our minds to some of these perspectives, and especially about topics that people tend to keep to themselves and don’t talk about? Especially around weight stigma and challenging some of the gold standards of nutrition care that don’t work for everyone.

As with everything in life, you must meet people where they’re at in their journey. The same goes for nutrition and health. While I believe this is the answer, some people are not ready for this type of work and potentially some people do well with diets. If you’re happy and successful making standard nutrition changes, focusing on weight loss or dieting then go for it. But also understand there is not a one-size-fits-all model for nutrition care. Do what works for you but please be open minded to other options out there that might work for other people. And whatever you do, understand that weight stigma is the same as racism and most people understand that racism is not OK nowadays.

Thank you Christy for all of your inspiration and continued fight to normalize eating.
