The Wolf That Walked Out of Winter

THE FEDORA FILES presents: The Wolf That Walked Out of Winter Open the file if you dare. Catoctin Mountain, 1778. Miller Jacob Weis has no patience for the old-country superstitions his neighbors swear by — the iron over the door, the salt in the windowsill, the bowl of blood left at the property line under the three nights of the November moon. He calls it nonsense. His wife calls it caution. The mountain calls it something else entirely. Something has begun walking the tree line behind his mill — too tall, too patient, too deliberately upright to be any wolf God ever made. And it hasn't yet decided whether Jacob Weis is worth the trouble of the old customs... or worth taking. A full-cast horror audio drama adapted from Gregory Fedora's gothic folklore collection The Dwayyo: Hex Wolf of South Mountain, inspired by the real Hexenwolf legends still told across the Pennsylvania Dutch settlements of Frederick County, Maryland. One night. One window. One choice that can't be unmade. 🎧 Runtime: ~17 min | Full cast, original score & sound design 📖 Based on The Dwayyo: Hex Wolf of South Mountain by G. Feodra (Available 2027) ✍️ Written & adapted by Ken Houldsworth 🎬 An Ends of the Earth Productions audio drama #HorrorPodcast #AudioDrama #FolkHorror #GothicHorror #ScaryStoryPodcast #Cryptid #Dwayyo #Hexenwolf #MarylandFolklore #AppalachianFolklore #CampfireStories #PennsylvaniaDutchFolklore #FictionPodcast #HorrorAnthology #TheFedoraFiles

Episode 171: The COMPLETE PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION HANDBOOK

This week on the Fedora Files I am joined by Richard Palmisano and Peter J. Roe Authors of the book: The COMPLETE PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION HANDBOOK. We talk Ghosts, Hauntings and investigations. Richard Palmisano Raised in a haunted house, Richard's memories of things going bump in the night started around four years of age, which he believes nudged him into a lifelong exploration of all things strange. His passion for solving mysteries pushed him onto two equally demanding paths: the first was a long-time career into security and law enforcement, and second was the founding of The Searcher Group (1979), fulfilling his quest to find answers to the afterlife. Sometimes these two paths collided with remarkable results, as Richard's credentials allowed him to go where most could not. Over many years Richard has been honored to have five books published documenting investigations he's conducted. Though many have asked why he has not written more books, his answer is that not every haunting merits one; only those exceptional stories that help advance our understanding of life after death and open our minds to possibilities inspires Richard to put pen to paper. Richard can be reached at richard@thesearchergroup.ca. Peter J. Roe As assistant director to Richard and The Searcher Group, Peter is also director of TSG subdivision Mortal Coil Paranormal 260 • About the Authors (MCP), serving the Greater Toronto Area and southwestern Ontario. A veteran of Canadian television animation by trade and author of Rock & Rule: The Art and Story of a Cult Film (RAID Press, projected release 2026), Peter dedicates much of his spare time to the meaningful pursuit of educating the public on paranormal phenomena and advocating for Ontario's vanishing, oft unappreciated heritage through acquiring the stories relayed by its ghosts. The Complete Paranormal Investigation Handbook marks Peter's second publication endeavor concerning ghost phenomena studies following the worldwide release of Haunted Town Halls (Quagmire Press) in 2018. Peter is currently in the throes of writing two more ghost-related works. For paranormal matters, Peter can be reached at mortalcoil paranormal@gmail.com. Discoball Man Episode 1: The Groove Begins.

"I got the power of the boogie! My moves are slick and kinda kooky!" Welcome to the world-premiere episode of Disco Ball Man: The Musical! Meet Dennis B. Maxwell. He was a self-proclaimed "nobody" until a fateful night at the local 18+ club changed everything. When a falling disco ball threatened the girl of his dreams, Dennis leaped into action—and ended up with a literal piece of the party lodged in his brain. Is it a life-threatening medical condition causing hallucinations and delusions of grandeur? Or has Dennis been chosen by the "Sultans of Swag" to become the ultimate glitter-clad guardian of justice? According to his doctor, it's the former. According to the funky synth-disco beat playing in Dennis's head... it's showtime. In this episode: The Origin: Witness the "accident" that gave birth to a legend. The Training: Meet Morris, the disco-dojo sensei with a past as a roadie for KC and the Sunshine Band. The First Patrol: Experience the grit of the urban jungle (and the smell of a very confused homeless man). The Villain: A first glimpse at The Abyss, a mastermind whose greatest challenge isn't world domination—it's his tech-illiterate henchmen. Featuring original showstoppers like "Shard of Destiny" and "Wax On, Wax Off, Hustle!", this episode proves that you don't need a cape when you have a triple-step and a dream.  #DiscoBallMan #MusicalPodcast #AudioFiction #SuperheroParody #DiscoVibes #OriginalCastRecording #PodcastRecommendations #IndiePodcast #TheAbyss #MusicalTheatreLife
