Returning Again and Again: Harnessing The Power Of Vulnerability And Allowing Yourself To Be Received As You Are

In this episode, I'm sharing honestly about a week where I found myself in a bit of a funk. After feeling excitement and momentum around my writing and the possibility of self-publishing, I suddenly felt anxious, frustrated, and out of sorts without one clear reason why. I reflect on how growth and expansion can require time for the nervous system to adjust, and why moving forward does not always feel light or exciting. Sometimes it looks like crankiness, uncertainty, or needing extra care while the body finds a new sense of balance. I also talk about the pressure to give everything we care about one hundred percent of our energy. Life does not always allow for that, especially when we are carrying grief, responsibilities, creativity, and many different priorities at once. What we are able to give in this moment is enough. I also reflect on the importance of community, vulnerability, and having spaces where we can be completely unfiltered. There is something deeply healing about allowing another person to witness what we are experiencing, even when we cannot wrap it in a perfect message or tie it with a bow. Consistency is not a perfect routine or never becoming derailed. It is the willingness to return to what matters again and again, while remaining flexible and compassionate with ourselves along the way. This is an invitation to honor wherever you are today. You do not have to be positive all the time, and you do not need a clear explanation for every feeling. Sometimes sharing what is true is enough to help the weight begin to lift. This episode is for you if: You're going through a difficult time and ready to find a release You want to live a slower life and let go of the pressure to constantly adapt to technology You're ready to build community and need inspiration on where to start You're learning the value of being witnessed and the importance of connection in your life You're in a season full of change and transition Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Learn how your mornings can shift the entire energy of your day Use my favorite tool for self-reflection to help you get unstuck and transform your life Related Episodes:  Who Are You Without The Chaos?: Releasing Old Patterns And Stepping Into A New Reality Trusting What's Beneath The Surface: Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Choosing Gratitude Over Guilt: Letting Go Of Effort To Make Space for Ease

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what it means to hold grief and joy at the same time. After closing a meaningful coaching chapter and moving into a deeper integration of grief, I've been noticing how closely joy and sadness can exist beside one another. I share about being a guest on The Spiritual Safe House podcast and what it felt like to revisit the days surrounding my dad's passing. Telling that story brought many emotions back to the surface, but it also opened the door to new insight and possibility. During a conversation with the host, I received a nudge to explore self-publishing my novel. What once felt like a path I hadn't considered now feels expansive, creative, and deeply aligned with my desire to retain ownership of my work. I also reflect on the recurring presence of the book Signs and what it might mean for my path of helping others connect with loved ones who have passed. This episode also explores my relationship with effort, earning, and the belief that work must feel difficult in order to be valuable. I'm learning to let work feel more like play, to allow my days to be good, and to meet joy with gratitude instead of guilt. This is an invitation to welcome every emotion as it arrives. Grief, joy, fear, excitement, and possibility can all belong in the same room. You do not have to make life harder to deserve what is beautiful. Listen to my conversation on The Spiritual Safe House: Please Give a Warm Welcome to Kim Kogane, Writer and Intuitive Guide This episode is for you if: You're curious about how to communicate with the Universe and love ones who have passed You're experiencing grief and looking for support as you navigate emotionally complex landscapes You're an over-achiever who's ready to expand and find more joy and ease You're a writer thinking about self-publishing You're curious about Human Design and want to learn about how you can use it to find more alignment and ease in your life Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Read this blog for my favorite books to inspire a creative life Learn more about how Human Design can help change your life Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places: Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path

In this episode, I'm reflecting on the closing of a deeply transformative chapter and what it means to move forward after a season shaped by grief. After working with a leadership coach over the past year, I recently had my final session and felt the importance of intentionally closing that container and honoring everything it held. I share how grief has changed my understanding of what it means to heal. In the beginning, I simply wanted to feel better and return to normal. Now, I can see that there is no going back to who I was before. Grief has become part of me, not something happening to me, and it has shaped me into a new version of myself. I also reflect on the role of coaching and guidance during in-between seasons. A good guide can act as a mirror, helping you see yourself more clearly when life feels distorted or uncertain. As I looked back on the work I've done, I realized how much growth had happened one step at a time. This episode explores what it means to carry grief as a companion while still allowing room for joy, magic, possibility, and abundance. It is also about learning to trust the unknown. Certainty may not always be available, but clarity can become an anchor. When you know who you are, what you value, and what matters most, you can move forward without needing to see the entire path. This episode is for you if: You're navigating a grief journey and want support with how to integrate your grief You're deepening your emotional landscape and experiencing the complexity of feeling multiple emotions at once You're going through a time of transition and stepping into the unknown You're struggling to let go of old identities You are ready to let go of certainty and explore possibilities Resources and Links:  Read this blog for tips on how to get unstuck and find clarity when you're facing the unknown  Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet to find more clarity and purpose in your life Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Related Episodes:  From Stillness Into Motion: Navigating Change With Balance Choosing The Path That Feels True: How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore: Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead

In this episode, I'm continuing the reflection on what it means to become unshakable and exploring the next layer that has been unfolding for me: refinement. After moving through big changes, grief, and identity shifts, I'm finding myself in a quieter season of getting clear on what truly belongs in this next version of my life. I share how this process has brought up the need to lovingly release old pieces of my identity, including the version of me who was once defined by open wounds and active healing. As those wounds become more like scars, I'm asking what it means to move through the world as someone who is more rooted, more healed, and more willing to let the past versions of herself rest. I also reflect on the importance of saying no to the things that sit in the maybe pile. As I continue refining my energy, I'm learning to trust the wisdom of my body and recognize that if something is not a full-bodied yes, it may be a no. This clarity creates more space for what truly excites and aligns. This episode also touches on overthinking, embodiment, and the practice of returning to the body when the mind begins to spiral. As I look ahead to summer, I'm calling in more joy, creativity, play, and a lighter way of moving through life while continuing to honor the deeper work that has brought me here. This is an invitation to reflect on what refinement might look like for you. What are you ready to release? What deserves your yes? And who are you becoming as the picture comes into clearer focus? This episode is for you if: You're navigating a life transition or identity shift You've done significant healing work and are wondering what comes next You're learning to trust yourself and make decisions with more clarity You're craving a life that feels more aligned, intentional, and spacious You're ready to release old versions of yourself and embrace what's emerging Resources and Links:  Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next Read this blog about how to craft the perfect morning ritual to help shift the energy of your days Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline  Related Episodes:  Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True Listening For What Wants To Emerge: Letting Go Of Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore: Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Becoming Unshakable - Channeling Inner Strength While Moving Forward After Loss

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what happened after I declared that I was beginning to feel rooted and unshakable in this new season of life. Almost immediately, life began to mirror that declaration back to me through obstacles, challenges, and moments that asked me to see just how steady I have become. I share about a recent knitting retreat on San Juan Island and how the experience brought forward both joy and grief. While the retreat itself was beautiful and deeply nourishing, it also helped me recognize that I'm no longer in the same season of adventure and travel that I once was. What used to feel like a core part of my identity has shifted, and I'm learning to honor the quieter life that feels true for me now. I also reflect on how grief continues to shape me and how signs of my dad's presence appeared throughout the weekend. His absence was felt deeply, but so was the growth that has come from carrying that grief over the past year. In the midst of discomfort, I was able to see how much stronger and more capable I have become. This episode is about understanding that declarations often invite life to show us what we're ready to embody. When we claim a new identity or vision for ourselves, the universe may bring forward the very challenges that help us grow into it. These moments are not punishments or setbacks. They are opportunities to release what no longer fits and trust what is taking root. This episode is for you if: You're ready to embrace your own strength and become an anchor for yourself You're claiming a new identity and shifting into a new era of life You're in a season of transition and want to feel less alone You're experiencing grief and learning how to integrate it into your life You're ready to let go of hustle and over-achieving in pursuit of a quieter life Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Learn more about how Human Design can help change your life Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places: Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path Listening For What Wants To Emerge - Letting Go Of Old Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now  When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Rooting Into What's Next - Embracing A New Identity And New Life After Loss And Transition

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what it feels like to move out of an in-between season and begin grounding into something new. As I've been thinking about this podcast, my work, and how I want to show up creatively, I've noticed an old pattern of trying to be relatable or shaping what I share around what I think others might want from me. I explore what it means to move beyond that and trust that true connection can come from being more fully ourselves. Instead of trying to fit into an existing mold, I'm feeling called to share from a place of ease, joy, play, and co-creation with the universe, even when that feels vulnerable or uncertain. I also share an intuitive image that came to me of a tree being uprooted and replanted somewhere new. That image helped me understand the past year of grief, change, and transition in a deeper way. After feeling ungrounded for so long, I'm beginning to feel my roots stretch into this new life and this new version of myself. This episode is about honoring the complexity of becoming. The joy, the grief, the discomfort, the hope, and the courage it takes to name what you truly want and begin moving toward it. Sometimes the life you once dreamed of arrives in a form you didn't expect, but the essence is still there. This episode is for you if: You're ready to live a more creative life and pursue your creative dreams You're letting go of over-achieving and hustle to co-create with the Universe and find more joy and play You're deepening your connection to your intuition and inner wisdom while you go through a life transition You're exploring the complexity of grief after losing a loved one and want support as you move through the discomfort You're life suddenly changed and you're embracing a new reality, new identity, and new way of being Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Learn how to shift the energy of your day using a morning ritual Related Episodes:  Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear From Stillness Into Motion - Navigating Change With Balance When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Leading Yourself With Compassion - Using Tarot As A Guide And A Tool For Self-Reflection

In this episode, I'm sharing a tarot reading for the month of May and exploring the themes that are coming forward as we move deeper into this season of growth and transformation. The overall theme is represented by the Lion card, which speaks to leadership, self mastery, and taking ownership of your path. This is a reminder that you are the one guiding your life, even in moments where it feels like your circumstances are outside of your control. Growth begins with acknowledging your ability to choose, evolve, and move toward what feels true for you. I then explore the Nine of Swords, which invites us to look honestly at the parts of ourselves we may be avoiding. This card brings awareness to inner tension, self judgment, and the ways we can become our own biggest obstacle. Rather than fearing these aspects, this is an opportunity to gently bring them into the light and allow them to be part of the transformation process. The Son of Wands adds another layer, encouraging us to release the illusion of perfection. This is a reminder that growth is not about fixing yourself, but about becoming more fully who you already are. Your uniqueness, your complexity, and your imperfection are all part of what makes your path meaningful. Finally, the Empress offers a grounding and nurturing energy. This card calls us to care for ourselves with compassion, to reconnect with nature, and to create space for reflection and restoration. Growth does not have to be forceful. It can be supported through softness, patience, and intentional care. This episode is an invitation to lead yourself with compassion as you continue to grow. To face what is ready to be seen, to release the need for perfection, and to trust that even small shifts can create meaningful change over time. This episode is for you if: You're interested in learning more about tarot and how it can support you on your journey You're in a season of growth and transformation and looking for support You're ready to create more space in your life to reconnect with nature and a quieter life You're looking for inspiration on how to be more intentional in your life You're letting go of perfectionism and creating a softer life for yourself with more compassion and understanding Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Dive into tarot and discover my favorite tarot decks and what makes them great Use these prompts to jumpstart your tarot practice Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Related Episodes:  Finding Light In A Heavy Season - Key Themes From The Tarot For The Month Ahead Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day Where Intuition Meets The In-Between - Using Tarot As A Tool For Self-Discovery When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Who Are You Without the Chaos?: Releasing Old Patterns And Stepping Into A New Reality

In this episode, I'm taking time to reflect on the closing of a season as we move out of April and into something new. There has been a strong sense of completion in my life lately, and I've been sitting with what it means to move forward after a period of deep transformation. I share how grief over the past year has reshaped my life in profound ways. In its intensity, it stripped away anything that didn't feel essential, forcing me to focus only on what truly mattered. Now, as I begin to rebuild, I'm stepping into a new phase that feels more grounded, intentional, and rooted in what I want to create moving forward. One of the biggest themes that has surfaced is my relationship with chaos. For much of my life, growth and creation have come from pressure, urgency, and external validation. Now, I'm exploring what it means to live and create from a place of calm, stability, and spaciousness, and learning how to trust that I can still move forward without the constant presence of disruption. I also reflect on how easy it can be to unconsciously create chaos, even when it's no longer needed. Whether through overcommitting, seeking intensity, or filling space that could otherwise remain open, there is a tendency to recreate what feels familiar. This episode is an invitation to notice where that might be happening in your own life. This conversation is about allowing things to settle, honoring transitions, and creating space for something new to take root. Growth does not always have to come from upheaval. Sometimes it comes from stillness, presence, and the willingness to let things be simpler than they once were. This episode is for you if: You find yourself in a new reality that feels unfamiliar and you find yourself wanting to return to old patterns You're in a quieter season of life and growing out of patterns of chaos You're honoring a time of transition in your life and want to create stability for yourself You're rewiring your nervous system and navigating the discomfort that comes from releasing what feels familiar You're learning how to trust yourself as you move through growth and change Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Use my tips on how to move forward when you feel stuck where you're at Learn how to transform your days by using a morning ritual Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places: Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving A Life With Room To Breathe - Letting Go Of Being "Busy" And Embracing A Slower Pace When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life.
