Season 2, #1: Building Companies and Culture with Bob Gardner of Gardner Builders

Season 2, #1: Building Companies and Culture with Bob Gardner of Gardner Builders

Welcome to what I am calling the second season of The Fly Through!
We're back with a great conversation with Bob Gardner, Founder and CEO of Gardner Builders.
Bob has always been incredibly thoughtful and intentional around how he built and envisioned his company  - centered around valuing employees as the experts they are (and making sure they know they are valued), challenging folks in a good way and providing a positive environment for the whole team (and that team is not just employees, but suppliers, contractors, clients and partners).
Who better to discuss culture and leadership and how they have built their culture in a workforce that is all over the place - in an office, on job sites, remote - when so many people are also figuring out how to do that same thing?
Welcome again to Bob and thank you for joining me!

#20: Neurodiversity in the Workplace with Shawn Gaither

To celebrate May as Mental Health Awareness month, we are bringing you a conversation with Shawn Gaither, Principal and Senior Architect at DLR Group.  We discussed Neurodiversity in the built environment, and how and why we should all include neurodiversity as part of the Diversity and Inclusion conversation.

I was struck in this conversation by the overlap of good design for inclusion, also means good design for all employees.  Join Shawn Gaither and me for this important conversation.

Did we get something wrong?  What did we miss?  Reach out - you can find me on LinkedIN and Shawn's contact info is below.

#18 Leaders in Real Estate: Bob Greenberg and Russ Nelson

#18 Leaders in Real Estate: Bob Greenberg and Russ Nelson

Joining me today is Bob Greenberg, President of the 614 Company and owner of Frog's Leap winery  and Russ Nelson now retired founder of NTH, one of the first tenant representative only real estate firms in the country, and active mentor/board member/speaker.

Bob and Russ have known each other for years, so it made sense to ask them to join me together to share stories of how they both built their businesses.    Key themes that came out of it :  Honesty, trust, relationships, person to person (who gets to sit across the table anymore and just work out a deal on a handshake?) get involved (very involved) and of course -  creativity.

Find Jessica at:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessicakmogilka/ .    Let me know what you think and what else you'd like to hear about!
