The Gamesilog Show

I am no gamer by any means but I did have some screen time of the popular, easier games when I was younger (e.g. Tetris, Mario, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Metal Slug, does Circus Charlie count? hehehe). I listen and I am writing a review anyway. The thing I like about this podcast is that it breaks it down to how the visuals, audio, story and gameplay enhances the whole gaming experience. It narrates what worked and what didn't work for Jhaz (the host) and his guest. It also takes you down memory lane, discussing the classics and earlier versions of a game series that got you hooked on gaming; and gets you excited about the upcoming releases of popular and best selling video game franchises. The podcast is mostly in Tagalog which makes this an easy listen for those who can understand the language. The "silog" (a popular rice and egg pairing in the Philippines) in the title suggests that this material is easy to consume for Filipinos. It is a casual, free-flowing conversation between Jhaz and the guest which makes it easy to go off a different tangent. He does a good job though for making sure they get back on track. I’ll keep listening even if I can’t relate all that much to the topic of the episode. I did say I’m not a gamer, right? But the conversations are entertaining and interesting enough that it gives me an idea of what it would be like had I been a videogame fan. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this more than I do if you’re a gamer yourself :)
