The Garbage Podcast

Going back to your commentaries from 2012 and working forward. Thanks guys!

With the name “Garbage Podcast,” I thought it would be 2nd rate, or have a made-in-Mom’s-basement quality. Not so! Clear, carefully-written and easy to understand, I was amped to learn the non-spoiler-ish news of the filming of the next series to come from the Dwarfers. Big thanks for the effort, and I really enjoyed the professionalism of the recording of “Groovy Channel 27!" One question, though…why is the podcast rated “explicit?” I’ve only listened to the last 6 shows related to series XI, but each were tagged as explicit. There was nothing remotely offensive or mature to be heard. The only thing that was “explicit” was the nature of the descriptions and care taken to paint a superb picture of what transpired during the recording of the shows without actually allowing any spoilage. (I hate spoilage!) Bravo to the Smegging Garbage Pod…casters!

Frustrating. There's some interesting casts(like the one discussing the US RD pilots), but the vast majority are discussions of the individual episodes with special reference to whether or not elements shown violate continuity with other episodes(sometime broadcast years later). Also, there are numerous discussions to evaluate if the world is internally plausible to the nth degree. In both cases, who cares? Frankly, concern if the show is interesting/funny 99.9%, concern if it is internally plausible 0.1%.
