HR1 4/1/23 - "Cracking Us Up"
It is April's Fools Day here in the Truckee Meadows, but this is no joke. It's The Garden Show on News Talk 780 KOH! We start off almost immediately taking your calls (which you can always join in on at 775-852-TALK or 800-564-KKOH), and with how wet it's been lately, callers are wanting to know how that much moisture is going to affect their plants. You will, too. With Spring basically here, we need pollinators aplenty. Rail City has bees, and The Garden Show has the information you need to care for them. As with every week, we have Jack call in with a timely Easter Week Eve edition of his Joke of the Week. Leapfrogging off of that, Rail City also has chickens! Come get 'em!

HR2 4/1/23 - "The Wettest West"
Wettest winters on record, growpots, pest repellant, voles and toxicity, pruning, birds, Pawl's peppers/relish,
We're back for the second hour of the Garden Show on this April Fool's Day! What certainly has been no joke is the amount of moisture we've gotten over this past winter going into Spring. We'll let you know just how bad it got this year. With all that water, you need stuff to grow. We have ideas for your home planters or garden. We're always going to have pests, and voles are some of the worst. Find out just how "toxic" these pests can be. All this and more on the Garden Show!

HR1 3/25/23 - "Spring is Here!...or is it?"
Craig Witt from Full Circle Compost in Carson City is our guest this weekend on the Garden Show, and he's talking dirty. Well, soil, to be precise. It's also supposed to snow this week (even though we're in Spring), so we've got what you need to know for the conflicting climates. Jack is back with a musical Joke of the Week.

HR2 3/25/23 - "Gardening and Grammar"
Craig Witt from Full Circle Compost is still with us for the second hour of the Garden Show, and he's got some fascinating information on a locally produced fertilizer. We're taking your calls as always, and you want to know about pest control and maple trees, so we've got your back on that one.

HR1 - 3/18/23 - "Happy (Belated) St. Patrick's Day"
It's the day after St. Patrick's Day here on the Garden Show! Not only that, but we're just a few short days from the official first day of Spring! Pay attention, because we've got your last minute Spring prep! As always, we're taking your phone calls, and we've got a caller with a wisteria vine story for us. As always, Jack is back with us for his Joke of the Week to give us one final spot of the Luck O' the Irish.

HR2 - 3/18/22 - "It's the Great Pumpkin, Pawl Hollis!"
We're back with the second hour of the Garden Show! For such a sunny day in the Truckee Meadows, we've got a storm of callers coming in this hour! A surprising one, even though we're still months away from Halloween, we're talking pumpkins, including some tips for world record pumpkins. Even though we're coming into Spring, there's still snow on the ground, and apparently you can get mold from the snow. We'll tell you how to get rid of it, as well as take more of your calls on the Garden Show on News Talk 780 KOH.

Customer Reviews
The garden show
Of all the poscasts on gardening that I listen to; and that is many, the show with Dan and Pawl is the best. They offer great information in a friendly and teachable manner. they are also not afraid to say what they think and just don't blindly follow what is in gardening style. I should say Pawl does most of the talking but Dan does contribute his wit.
