    Thursday night in New York, or New Jersey or where ever the Jets actually play its two teams soon to moving in different directions. The Achilles injury had Rodgers down last year, now I know about Achilles injuries as mine my left foot was crushed at the heel detaching it from my heel in a car wreck June 14, 2014. For me that was 30 pins and screws in the heel, two screws attaching the Achilles to the heal, a rod in my femur, two screws in the right, decide to keep the foot, relearn to walk again and it would be 7 years before I would stride out and run like they said I never could. So to be on the field for him a year after that is truly a blessing for him. Anyways this matchup went all Patriots for a long long long time during the Brady Era…. this era is over and it the Jets time to kick some ass now. They turned the tie last game 17-3, this time they goat Rodgers in New York sports history and this first division game they are going to make the Patriots understand all the talk is irrelevant when we square up, its a step, breath and punch till I’m at the bread basket to get my free lunch because anyone who has been having to lose every time out against an opponent develops that hunger and once they are the superior team on the field that is the reason for the line to open at -7. Consensus lightly on the other side of my pick here, as the Patriots 51% at present and the line adjusted on down to -6. To me thats a bet on the team that isn’t going to win the game, and they either cover or they don’t. No one knows how good this Jets team is yet and with the ability to run the ball they could really have the AFC looking like it might have to deal with them in January. 302 Jets -6 Now on to a game where I don’t know nothing about nothing… South Alabama vs. App St. Now let me tell you North Carolina is a difficult place to win at because App State has made it that way. Still I’m not sure I see consensus on App St. -7.5 and its QB Joey Aguilar the senior star for the Mountaineers.Redshirt freshman on the other side for a team that is up against an older unit in USA. I’m not sure how long is this one is gonna stay close for the 1-2 Jags. Maybe it’s a game for a while but who knows. 304 Appalachian St -7½-105 -7½-105 Its big boy ball in the midwest Friday night as Matt Rhule makes me want to break my don’t pick the Huskers rule, this is because of the turnover laden offense has been Rhuled out now and this team has covered against Colorado and will likely finish in the black ATS for the year. They won 20-7 last year in Illinois but they put the heavy number on the matchup for a reason. A ten point here would seem like a normal mean for where this thing could sit. From that off a td one way or the other you’ve got a 3 point to 17 point window where this game is likely to sit down. With the public on Illinois at least thus far 80% consensus got the number on down to 7.5 meaning this has live bet written all over it. Say you might find Illinois with the lead and be able to get Nebraska where you would have to play -305 pregame probably 2nd or 3rd quarter, you’ll be hoping that the Illini come out and win the first half. Could 80 % be wrong well I personally won’t lay the -7.5 when I know I can get a better number but thats my pick because I don’t trust 80% consensus because it used to be wrong a lot on Nebraska games. 308 Nebraska-9-7½ Live Bet Situation Same thing again with Syracuse, I watched Stanford play a game vs. TCU earlier and while it didn’t get out of hand I think I still covered, I saw enough to where until I see something better from this team I’m not putting a dollar on them. I have watched as Syracuse has been playing well even though they have missed the number like they did vs. Ohio where I lost a few bucks. Syracuse 3rd in the nation in pass offense and Stanford is well, tripping and studying or whatever they do on campus out there.     The Griff Report - Friday 13th Edition - NCAAF

    Well folks I’m back despite the bohemian tactics of the masonic demotic slaves to spread deception as a weapon hoping they would keep me stressing, maybe I’m the best one because the lord is where I get my blessings with gift here goes the next one. It’s been a mediocre start for the perennial powerhouse with the returning QB as it took 3 quarters past before the tide swept in last week. A slightly bigger opponent in an unfamiliar environment this week as Alabama heads to Camp Randall to face their beloved Badgers. The line -16.5 a huge number one of the likes has never been covered in modern era football handicapping, the 3rd time they have been a double digit home underdog since 2005, both the others were to Ohio State. Does that mean the Badgers are a sure thing? Not according the betting community, the consensus rolling in on Bama 79% or it is before the Saturday public money. The Badgers may still have the offensive line to win against Western Michigan and South Dakota, but four quarters against the Tide and what is sure to be four quarter run attack. What does that mean for the betting on the game? Wisconsin will likely hang on like a man getting beat trying to slow down the arms to stop the damage early which may lead to a live bet opportunity on the Tide laying less that the 16.5, but that run attack doesn’t slow down and try to get away from the feeble attempt at wrist control it pushes forward grabs you by the eye sockets and beats your head into the wall. Look for a live bet if you have time to sit down and enjoy the game, but my pick is the only thing upset will be Wisky fans as the Tide Rolls in and sweeps out taking some confidence from the faithful. 115 Alabama -16½-108 Coach Kelly has been beating on the tables this year because his team was in position but maybe the best wide receiver group in college football was just so good that it left everyone saying , “did you see that !” in the opener. While I was in for the worst three hours in sports last week as South Carolina came in to Lexington and put a three hour beat down on the Wildcats, I watched every minute despite having every other 3:30 game correct. This here is a different matchup for both teams, the LSU defense will have to contain an athletic quarterback Saturday in Sellers and a senior running back Sanders. The Tigers have only beaten twice ever by the Gamecocks, 19-2-1 all-time for LSU in the matchup. Consensus 58% only a slight margin for LSU as what happened recently is in the minds of the public. This is still a freshman QB against what could still be a playoff team because in the format how you finish and play in your league will be weighed in heavily. Once again if you have time to sit and watch the you can probably get that perfect bet live time, but my I’m picking the irishman to have the eye of the tiger locked in for their SEC opener. 125 LSU -6½ Speaking of the Irish and a team that just needs to finish strong to make the playoffs, the entire football world was shocked last week as NIU went to South Bend and stole that “Easy Money” from Irish backers. This week it’s Purdue, one of the longest most historical rivalries in the state of Indiana and college football as a whole. Consensus still has faith in ND here by a 2-1 margin on the road in West Lafayette. Last week a group of seniors ready to fight to the death for Northern Illinois, this Purdue team with Hudson Card at QB but the questions come from the receivers but this is an Air Raid offense not the Huskies run attack that shortened last weeks game. An injured non throwing shoulder for Leonard may make him less likely to take off on designed qb runs to limit the number of hits he takes, he is also dead last among power four signal callers thus far. Can the Boilermakers pull the upset? Are the Irish really not as good as fans thought? Purdue 13-26-2 all time at home vs. the Irish.
