Pod promotes hack technology, Mentaya.

A January episode features Mentaya CEO Christine Li. It’s perhaps fair to say that her business takes a burden off the backs of therapists. I do not know; I am not a therapist. I am a patient, and warn that if you are a are offering Mentaya as a solution for your clients, think twice. My experience and the experience of other peers who have used them have experienced more stress, anxiety, and panic than it’s worth. Mentaya’s team did not handle any of my claims correctly. Their customer dashboard technology is flawed and displayed incorrect information on the status of my claims throughout their processing time period. Their chief of staff agrees. The customer service team were slow, poor communicators. On the advice of my insurance company, having seen the sloppy claim submissions themselves, I stopped using Mentaya and rescinded my authorization for them to handle my account. They ignored that, and continued to process sloppy claims. As I rectified the matter on my own and directly with the insurance company, got the claims approved and paid out, Mentaya’s team continued to access my insurance account and voided the approved claims! The reimbursements I receive became debt I now owed to the insurance company. I spent dozens of hours trying to fix the situation, including directly with Christine who offered to waive some future fees to help. Please forgive me, but there is no $20 fee I would forgo to risk the utter chaos that ensued after letting this company near my account. Seeing their sometimes drunken employees featured on the company’s social media posts was the nail in the coffin for me. I’m sure this sounds incredibly whiny and like I need more therapy? But, actually, because of Mentaya… I do!
An awesome resource for practice owners!

I’ve listened to Maureen for some time now, which is an added reason why I was so eager to get the opportunity to guest on a recent episode. This is a key resource for practice owners looking to grow. And the insight gained can help for years to come. It’s a must listen!
