Ep. #15 - Rising from your lows [tips and practices]

Ep. #15 - Rising from your lows [tips and practices]

Life is a series of unavoidable ups and downs. After having experienced a little bit of a low season recently, in this episode, I am sharing with you some of the practices and reminders that have helped me get through my lows better.

Hopefully, they'll help you not just navigate your lows better, but rise from them. Grow and evolve so you come out stronger on the other side.

We'll touch upon things such as:

How can we take better care of ourselves?
How can we create space from what's worrying us?
    How can we rest emotionally?
How can we support ourselves better and teach others to do the same?
What are some practices and habits that can help us shift our mindset and break a bad cycle?
How can we find purpose in our lows?
How can we elevate from them?

If you're going through a low right now, this is a reminder that things do get better, and that you don't have to go through it alone.

Bonus Ep. - Finding home far from home [post-travel catch up]

Bonus Ep. - Finding home far from home [post-travel catch up]

It's been a minute since our last chat! I'm back after a little hiatus, this time discussing "the feeling of home". That warm fuzzy feeling that makes us feel safe, like we belong, and we're in the right place. This episode goes out to all those twenty-somethings who:

have recently moved abroad and are still trying to find that feeling of homeliness far from home
have recently moved back home and are trying to re-adjust into an environment and lifestyle, that although familiar, feels unknown
have multiple home bases and struggle with leaving something behind every time they move from one to another

I hope this little bonus episode helps you reflect on the elements that make you feel at home. I think being able to identify what home is and isn't can be valuable as a way to make better decisions about the places we decide to stay in or move away from.

Ep. #14 - [Journal With Me] My End of Year Reflection & 10 prompts to guide you through yours.

Ep. #14 - [Journal With Me] My End of Year Reflection & 10 prompts to guide you through yours.

In this last episode of the year we're getting a little raw & personal.

I share my learnings and reflections from this past year and give you some prompts and questions to help you go through this End Of Year Reflection exercise yourself.

As the end of the year approaches, we can either continue with ‘business as usual’, move onto our next chapter, and never look back, or we can take the time to pause and reflect on the lessons and events that have shaped us along the way.

I think end of cycles are a good way to keep reminding ourselves to find some stillness in the middle of all the hustle and slow down the fast rhythm that we're used to moving at. It helps us pause our autopilot function for a sec and really think so that we can become more aware of things.

There's great power in self-reflection, we simply don't tap into it enough.

So join me as we reflect on key areas and events of this past year, and evaluate what’s working and what’s not, so that we can step into the new year more intentionally and move closer towards the things that will make our lives a little better.

Ep. #11 - Taking breaks, re-balancing our lives, & getting back on track.

Ep. #11 - Taking breaks, re-balancing our lives, & getting back on track.

Hi friend! ☕️ If you'd like to support this podcast with a cup of coffee visit www.buymeacoffee.com/thegrowthlab - your support helps keep this podcast alive.

    In this episode:

We’re kicking-off season two by talking about the importance of taking breaks, learning how to re-balance our lives and getting back on track. It’s perfectly common, especially in our 20s & 30s, to want to do it all. To want to stretch ourselves to every little corner of our existence. We get overwhelmed trying to make all of our responsibilities and pleasures co-exist in harmony. So in this episode we’re unpacking the difficulties and struggles involved in allowing ourselves to take proper breaks and we’re exploring different ways in which we can recover balance in our lives by bouncing-back from stages of over-indulgence or contrarily, from stages in which we’re over-working ourselves.

After recently taking a long break myself, I’m sharing with you some of my personal learnings and reflections gathered during these past two months, including what I gained and what I missed, and how I’ve managed to get back on track and return to my regular rhythm of life.

P.S. [from min. 23:04 onwards]: Dive-in into the importance of morning routines and how you can stick to one yourself, even if you’re not a ‘morning person’.
