The Walking Cuban ,

Does baptism precede salvation? If so, will you preach it?

I agree with your politics... but not your teachings in scripture. I do not mean to be harsh. However, the Bible teaches that baptism precedes baptism. Please observe, sir:

Mark 16:16 (KJV) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Belief AND baptism precede salvation. The prerequisite to damnation? Don’t believe. You won’t obey either.

Acts 2:38 (KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repentance AND baptism precede the remission of sins and reception of the gift Holy Ghost (not the miraculous gifts as seen elsewhere but salvation).

Acts 22:16 (KJV) And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Baptism precedes washing away your sins.

Romans 6:4-5 (KJV) 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:

Baptism precedes walking in newness of life. Being planted in the waters of baptism in the likeness of his own death and burial precedes resurrection.

If you can put baptism after any of those things, then you must have that authority from somewhere other than scripture. Please consider the scriptures, without changing the order of God’s word. Any hermeneutics or exegesis or extrapolation of scripture that adds to, takes away from, or otherwise modifies scripture is wrongo.

Peace in New Orleans East.
