A podcast for progressive Catholics to share stories and start a conversation between the world & the Catholic Church

Modern Church Mothers: The Power of Prayer

Modern Church Mothers: The Power of Prayer

This is a series I will be doing on the podcast where I interview everyday elderly Catholic women. These women have shaped the faith for generations & will continue to do so!

Thank you so much to Franciscan Peacemakers for collaborating with the HippieCatholic!
Franciscan Peacemakers connects women survivors of sexual exploitation to safe housing, meaningful work and a healing network of support. They work to end human trafficking through service and advocacy because they believe that everyone is created to enjoy peace and all good.
Soaps, candles, bath bombs, & gift sets for every occasion are lovingly created by survivors in recovery. Products are made with all natural ingredients! Since the Peacemakers are a non-profit, they are not a sponsor. However, they are a supporter & a collaborator which is very much appreciated.

For the Romain’ Roman Catholics!

This is a refreshing podcast. The Catholicism I was raised with has not been reflected in Catholic media until I found the Hippie Catholic platform. Parishes continue to get more conservative & I find it harder to feel like I have a place in this organized institution. But the Hippie Catholic reminds me why I’m Catholic and why those who wander aren’t lost. We belong in Rome too! Definitely recommend this podcast!

Catholicism Has More Than One Side!

I found this podcast to be refreshing. As someone who is thinking of becoming Catholic, I was turned off by all the hypocrisy and talking down that priests and lay-persons seem to do on other podcasts and YouTube channels, I was pleasantly surprised by The Hippie Catholic’s podcast. I like that she presents information that is backed up with links to resources, not that I mind hearing her opinion on the topics that she covers. It’s nice to be introduced to more than one rigid opinion that people hold up as right just because some old guy a few hundred years ago held the same opinion and wrote it down. As times change, we’re supposed to change too. I followed her over here from her YouTube channel and I binged all three episodes. I’m looking toward to more.

Very accessible!

This podcast is really helpful. There’s things about Catholic Church I didn’t understand prior but now I understand. This podcast really helps break down church politics.
