The Holy Chit-Chat

Brooke & Tori

A podcast hosted by two of God’s silliest gooses who dive into the Bible and explore its teachings in a fun and relatable way. We’ll be laughing, learning, and (attempting to) stay focused as we study the Bible together. 📖✨ Expect deep conversations, lots of “wait, what does that mean?” moments, and a fair amount of us getting sidetracked. (Seriously, pray for us. 😂🙏)

060 - When God Calls You Into the Unknown

In this episode of The Holy Chit-Chat, we’re getting personal and talking about seasons of transition, obedience, and stepping into the unknown with God. As Brooke's family prepares to move to North Carolina for a new ministry season, she shares honestly about the emotions that come with leaving behind comfort, familiarity, friends, routines, and the life built over the last 14 years. At the same time, we talk about the excitement of watching God open new doors and trusting Him even when we can’t see the full picture. We also dive into another “unknown” season as Tori shares about stepping into homeschooling her four kids. From fears and insecurities to trusting God with something completely outside her comfort zone, we talk about how obedience often means walking forward before feeling fully prepared. We also talk about: • How to discern whether an opportunity is truly from God • Wrestling with fear, grief, uncertainty, and excitement all at once • What practical obedience has looked like for our families • Trusting God when He gives the next step instead of the whole plan • Encouragement for anyone walking through a transition season If you’re in a season where God is stretching you, calling you somewhere new, or asking you to trust Him deeper than before, this episode is for you. 📖 Scripture Mentioned: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 Thanks for listening to The Holy Chit-Chat! 🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe, share this episode with a friend walking through transition, and follow along for future episodes. 054 - John 21

We’re back this week diving into John 21, and wow… this chapter hits in a quiet but convicting way. (I mean... WE'RE not quiet...) It’s not the big, dramatic moments of the resurrection—it’s the after. The everyday. The going-back-to-what’s-familiar kind of moments. We talk about the disciples returning to fishing and how relatable that is. When life feels uncertain or we don’t know what’s next, how easy is it to slip back into old habits, old mindsets, or just what feels comfortable? Then comes one of the most powerful scenes: Jesus meeting them on the shore, cooking breakfast (yes, Jesus making breakfast is a whole moment), and gently restoring Peter. No shame. No lecture. Just grace—and a question that cuts straight to the heart: “Do you love me?” That leads us into a real and honest conversation about how we can unintentionally deny Jesus in our own lives. Not always in loud, obvious ways—but in the small choices, the compromises, the moments we stay silent, or when our actions don’t line up with what we say we believe. This episode is both a mirror and an invitation. A reminder that we’re all capable of falling short—but also that Jesus always meets us there, calls us back, and invites us forward. So whether you’ve been feeling distant, distracted, or just stuck in routine—this conversation is for you. Grab your coffee, come hang out with us, and let’s chat about what it really looks like to follow Jesus… even when it’s hard, even when we mess up. Connect with us: paa.ge/theholychitchat
