"Running for me helped me get more confident with expressing myself in a creative way. Whether it’s for photography or making a garment or bringing two people together to make a conversation. Like, this is creativity, you know? I think it’s being observant with your everyday life and actually being present enough to be like, ‘Oh shit, that’s beautiful, that’s a moment’.”

“When I wake up 5 minutes before class I don’t want to turn my camera on, they’re not going to see me, so I can stay in my pyjamas. Sometimes kids turn them on, but not often, which is kinda sad... It’s really hard to talk to people when they don’t turn the camera on, and when you’re the only one with your camera on talking to a bunch of profile pictures, you’re not really talking to anybody.”

#62 - Part of The Game

“Good coaching, good mentoring, good life skills... Kicking the ball is only part of the game. I’m a big believer in that, and I think you know that. It’s just so much more than kicking a ball and scoring a goal. It’s everything that goes behind that.”

Episode 62 of The Hope Initiative with Enrico Marrone.

    #61 - Seeing Sonder

"When I think about the definition of marketing and what I want to do in the world, I want to help people feel seen. And I think that's a big part of not only Seth's definition of marketing, but what I embody as my definition of marketing, what akimbo would identify as a goal; is helping an audience feel seen enough to make the change they want to make in the world.

And so. I just think that speaks volumes to not only what's talked about, in 'This is Marketing', but what people could do in realising that everyone's a marketer, like you don't have to be in marketing to be a marketer. Everyone tells stories. Everyone is trying to help another person feel seen whether they are working in product development, whether they work at a bakery, whether you know, whatever it is...

Whether they're a teacher, an educator, and they're trying to help someone else feel seen enough to take the action to make that change happen. I think that's marketing."

#60 - Life is Up to You

"The fear of failure and having a failure can sort of over overcome me and stop people from actually chasing their dreams and their goals, due to fear. I don't do that anymore. I definitely did for much longer than I'd like to admit."

Episode 60 of The Hope Initiative with Johanna Clark.

Amorrisson ,

Great stories. Great people. Finally...positivity.

I love Rien’s accent. The way he tells the story is great. The people he interviews are great. It’s a breath of fresh air hearing about good people doing good things. It’s overwhelming how much crap podcasts there are...thank you Rien!

Fascinating ordinary people

Story line held my interest. Good tension of the three different stories of love and life. I subscribed and I'll listen to more. Interviewer asks good questions to keep it mnoving.
