    To Hell With You (2024)

    Welcome Back to the Horror Agenda. This week we cover the 2024 Jason Sheedy written and directed short film To Hell with You. This week the B-Horror Boys GoFundMe went live and we added a short commercial to the episode. This week Carlos recommends Fallout (2024 - ) a show, inspired by the game franchise where nuclear war is escaped by vault dwellers and one has to venture out to find her dad and uncovers more mysteries as she goes.  Victor recommends The Well (2023) directed (and cowritten) by Federico Zampaglione about an art restorer who goes to Italy to restore a painting and finds herself in danger from a curse.  Victor also  recommends Resident Evil 4 remake (2023) which is replaying. He loves Leon's adventure and looks forward to exploring RE9: Requiem.  Carlos also recommends Nina Storey's Strangely Optimistic (2026) a short film about a women's journey with Long COVID and trying t navigate the ups and downs of it earlier in the pandemic.     Full Moon Glory Hole (2024)

    Welcome Back to the Horror Agenda! This week we cover the 2024 short film Radio Silence Presents: Full Moon Glory Hole. This film is directed by Thom Newell and cowritten by Newell and Renton Hawkey.  You can watch the short here. You can watch all the shorts we covered on our YouTube playlist here. The main character kills his master while wearing his master's and then sets off to destroy all the masks his master made.  Carlos recommends Kim's Convenience (2016 - 2022), a Canadian sitcom about a Korean American family navigating family, work at the family convenience store and friendship and more.  He also recommends Slash/Back a 2022 film set in Nunavut about four Indigenous girls who have to contend with being teenagers at odds with their parents while also dealing with aliens and body snatching.  Beware Spoilers.     Satranic Panic (2023)

    Welcome to the Horror Agenda! Today we cover the 2023 feature film from Alice Maio Mackay, Satranic Panic. In addition to directing this film, she co-writes with Cassie Hamilton and Benjamin Pahl Robinson. In this episode we reference several interviews with Alice. Based on a book of the same name by Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, who features strongly in the documentary.  Carlos also recommends The People's Joker (2022), directed by Vera Drew who also stars, and cowrites with Bri LeRose, a satire about an aspiring clown navigating her gender identity in an legally a satire of Gotham fighting against a fascist state.     Every Part of You (2023)

    Welcome to the Horror Agenda. This week we're covering the short film Every Part of You, written and directed by Jessy Hodges. You can watch the short here. We also reference this Screen Rant piece from 2023 by Jack Carter.  This week Victor recommends Ted (2024 - ) the tv show in the Ted Universe about the life of John when Ted the foul mouthed bear lives in his home as he's growing. Victor points out a special recent episode where the gang plays DnD with Brennan Lee Mulligan (cast as a DM) who is often in the DnD recommendations of Carlos. Carlos recommends Spent by Alison Bechdel is a comic autofiction novel following an Alison Bechdel, a cartoonist on her farm navigating the politics of the current moment.  Carlos is also making his first short film.     Curve (2016)

    This week on the Horror Agenda we cover the 2016 short film Curve written and directed by Tim Egan.  You can watch the short here. This week Victor recommends Walden (2023) directed by Mick Davis a film about a stenographer who gets a diagnosis for a terminal illness and begins to get revenge on people who escape punishment through the justice system.  He also recommends the metal band, Ice Nine Kills who have a new song out (at time of recording) called Twisting the Knife featuring Mckenna Grace.  Carlos this week recommends the video essay "Peak Art, Peak Slop" from Jeffiot. In this video, he breaks down expensive slop versus powerful art and how art (and our consumption of it) effects us, putting David Lynch and Mr. Beast in conversation.  He also recommends the latest (at the time of recording) video essay from Princess Weekes "Sadly, Wuthering Heights Discourse is that Deep." In this video, she breaks down the discourse on the new Wuthering Heights and how it is that deep in her point by point analysis, her discussion of critique and anti-intellectualism.  His final official recommendation is Chronicles of Ori by Harmonia Rosales an artist who, in her debut book, does a retelling of Orisha stories as an enthralling epic.  His final recommendation is to get involved with your public library. If you're in NYC you can get involved with NYC PLAN (Public Library Action Network) to keep our libraries funded.
