The Hump With Katie is a podcast hosted by jazz bassist and vocalist, Katie Thiroux. Thiroux hosts interviews with the world's greatest musicians and music industry leaders from around the world. Including bassist and host of NPR's "Jazz Night in America" Christian McBride, Robert Kraft (former president of Fox Music) and Lenny Wee, music arranger for the 2022 Presidential Inauguration. Katie's quest is to find out what makes these people such great artists, how it all happened and what can the public learn from them. If you're wondering, “The Hump” refers to the beat of the music. It’s a common reference amongst bass players and one might hear “Oh, she/he has got a nice hump.” Translation: they have a nice beat or feel!
