    Ep. 211 - Don't Buy the UCS Super Star Destroyer Until You Watch This!

    LEGO's new UCS Executor Super Star Destroyer is here, and at $800, it's one of the biggest LEGO purchasing decisions you can make. But before you buy it… you need to see how it compares to the original. For this episode, I'm pulling my legendary 10221 UCS Super Star Destroyer off the shelf for an in-depth review — and putting it head-to-head with LEGO's brand-new 2026 version. There's also a great story behind this particular set. I found mine on Craigslist back in January 2013 for only $200, having absolutely no idea what it would eventually become worth. More than 13 years later, it's time to find out how well it has held up. We'll compare the two generations of the Executor, including their size, price, value, minifigures, display presence and some surprising numbers that completely changed the way I look at the new $800 version. On paper, the new Super Star Destroyer is bigger and more impressive in almost every way. But is it actually a better value? And if you already own 10221, is there any reason to upgrade?     Ep. 209 - The 5 BEST & WORST LEGO Sets I Own…According to My Wife!

    My wife has spent years living with my LEGO collection. She's watched sets take over shelves, rooms, closets... and probably more of our house than she'd care to admit. But what does she actually think of them? For this episode, I'm handing things over to my wife and asking her to do something potentially dangerous: look through my entire LEGO collection and choose the 5 BEST and 5 WORST sets I own. And the rules? There are no rules. Price doesn't matter. Piece count doesn't matter. Rarity doesn't matter. LEGO history doesn't matter. And apparently, my opinion REALLY doesn't matter. Her choices take us across decades of LEGO history and include everything from galaxies far, far away and magical worlds to famous landmarks, animated classics, enormous display pieces, musical builds, and some very expensive sets that she apparently isn't nearly as impressed with as I am. There were choices I completely understood. There were choices that surprised me. And then there were choices that made me seriously reconsider inviting her onto the channel. 😂 We'll count down her Top 5 BEST and Top 5 WORST, throw in a couple honorable—or perhaps dishonorable—mentions, and ultimately reveal the two sets that earned the titles of: 🏆 BEST LEGO SET IN MY ENTIRE COLLECTION 💩 WORST LEGO SET IN MY ENTIRE COLLECTION Did she get it right?     Ep. 207 - LEGO Just Got REALLY Weird…Rumors You Can't Miss! - 8/19/26 - News & Rumors

    LEGO news is absolutely packed this week, and some of these rumors are getting WILD. From two new Batman sets and a huge wave of Dragon Ball Z rumors to new Mario Kart sets, LEGO Botanicals, and another major Harry Potter event, there is a ton to break down. We’ll take a closer look at the newly revealed Batman Returns Batmobile, including its surprising three-section design, plus the upcoming Joker LEGO Art set. We’re also diving into LEGO Harry Potter’s Back to Hogwarts event and the massive new and controversial Ministry of Magic Collector’s Edition — along with all the GWPs LEGO is throwing into the mix. Then things really start getting interesting. Rumors are pointing toward a major Dragon Ball Z lineup for 2027, complete with Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, the Ginyu Force, Kame House, and more. LEGO Mario may also be changing in a big way with new Mario Kart sets that finally include traditional minifigures!     Ep. 206 - This LEGO IDEAS Steamboat Has a Problem (Or Does It?)

    The LEGO Ideas River Steamboat is one of the biggest and most impressive LEGO Ideas sets ever released, but is 21356 River Steamboat actually worth its $330 price tag? And how does a massive, minifigure-scale LEGO set somehow come with ZERO minifigures? In this episode of The Imagination Brickshop, I’m reviewing LEGO Ideas 21356 River Steamboat, a 4,090-piece recreation of a classic American riverboat based on the original fan design by Aaron Hall. At more than two feet long, this is an enormous display piece filled with working functions, detailed interiors, hidden surprises, and some very clever LEGO engineering. There is a LOT that impressed me about this set — from the overall design and incredible display presence to some of the mechanical features LEGO managed to incorporate. But there are also a few decisions that left me scratching my head, including one omission that feels particularly strange for a set of this size, scale, and price. A mysterious file has surfaced that supposedly reveals a massive list of upcoming LEGO 18+ sets stretching all the way into 2027 and 2028. Is it a legitimate internal LEGO document?
