    Ep. 181 - LEGO Minas Tirith, Pokémon Delays & BrickLink Madness - 5-18-26 - News & Rumors

The LEGO news train has officially left the station and somehow picked up even MORE chaos this week. From one of the biggest LEGO Lord of the Rings sets ever made to BrickLink insanity, production delays, surprise reveals, and rumors flying faster than a Gondor beacon fire, there’s a LOT to talk about. This episode covers the massive LEGO ICONS Minas Tirith reveal, including the latest updates on the GROND Gift With Purchase, while also diving into the absolutely overwhelming BrickLink Designer Series 11 voting period featuring a casual 578 fan submissions. Because apparently LEGO fans collectively decided sleep was optional. We also break down the upcoming BrickLink Series 8 pre-orders, including castles, trains, balloons, and enough wallet damage to qualify as a natural disaster. But one of the biggest stories this week may actually be the delays. The rumored 12,000-piece Sagrada Familia set potentially getting pushed back is almost poetic considering the real building itself has been under construction for over 140 years. Meanwhile, the LEGO Pokémon Pokéball may also be delayed, proving once again that even LEGO release schedules can’t catch ‘em all. On top of that, we’ve got new Pokémon rumors, Marvel busts, Disney surprises, a retro pinball machine, mysterious minifigures, and enough LEGO goodness to make your backlog feel personally attacked. So grab a drink, hide your wallet, and come hang out for another packed episode of LEGO news and rumors! 👇 Let me know in the comments: What set are YOU most excited for this week? 👍 If you enjoy LEGO news, rumors, rankings, reviews, and BrickLink coverage, make sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and ring the bell so you never miss an episode! #LEGO #LEGONews #LEGORumors #BrickLinkDesignerProgram #LordOfTheRings #MinasTirith #LEGOPokemon #LEGODisney #LEGOICONS #BrickLink #AFOL #LEGOCastle #LEGOMarvel #LEGOLeaks #LEGOCommunity Music Credit: Music from the YouTube Audio Library

Ep. 180 - A.M.A. TIME! 10 Burning Questions Every LEGO Fan Wants Answered

What happens when you sit down with a longtime LEGO fanatic and ask the questions EVERY collector secretly wants answered?  In this special Wild Card Wednesday episode, I'm going full AMA and tackling some of the biggest, most debated, and most personal questions in the LEGO hobby. I'm talking about: - The biggest mistakes new collectors make - Whether LEGO investing still makes sense in 2026 - The retired sets I regret not buying - What it’s REALLY like being a LEGO YouTuber behind the scenes - The most underrated LEGO sets nobody talks about - Which classic LEGO themes deserve a comeback - And where the future of LEGO might actually be heading This episode gets into the hobby side, the business side, and the emotional side of being an adult LEGO fan — from nostalgia and collecting regrets to burnout, hype cycles, storage problems, and the constant battle between buying what you love vs. chasing what everyone else says you should buy. If you’ve ever wondered: “Am I collecting LEGO the right way?” “What themes are actually worth getting into?” “Is the LEGO market changing?” “Or why LEGO fans are so passionate in the first place…” …this episode is for you. Some answers might surprise you. Some might save you money. And a few might make longtime collectors VERY uncomfortable. Ep. 176 - Can't Find the LEGO Set of Your Dreams? Here's How to Change it.

There’s a whole side of the LEGO hobby that many builders never fully explore… and it might completely change the way you look at your collection. In this episode, we’re diving into the world of LEGO Alternative Builds (Alt Builds) — where one set can become dozens of completely new creations. We’ll start by breaking down the difference between a MOC (My Own Creation) and an Alt Build, including the three main types of MOCs: True original builds Official set-based creations And builds that transform an existing set into something entirely new From custom display pieces (like my own Imagination Brickshop builds) to incredible fan creations inspired by iconic models like LEGO 10256 Taj Mahal, this world goes way deeper than most people realize. We’ll also show you exactly where to find the best Alt Builds, including platforms like Rebrickable, where designers share instructions that can completely reinvent sets you already own. Not only am I going to highlight some amaing ALT Build Designers, but we’ll walk through five incredible Alt Builds worth your time, transforming familiar sets into something entirely new — from Barad-dûr inspired builds to creative reimaginings of sets like LEGO 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck, LEGO 76215 Black Panther Bust, and even dinosaur fossils. If you’ve ever wished you could get more out of your LEGO sets without buying more bricks… this is the episode for you. 👇 Let me know in the comments: Have you ever tried an Alt Build?
