The Bible Tells You Exactly How to Become a Strong Christian

What if you're asking God to give you something the Bible says you already have? In this Bible teaching, Travis Peters continues through 2 Peter 1 and breaks down the qualities every believer is instructed to actively develop, including faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. 🔥 Get Daily Increase Devos: https://increaseministries.com/start-here 🎓 Join Increase Academy: http://increaseacademy.com/ One of the biggest mistakes Christians can make is waiting for God to do something He has already instructed us to do. Peter says to "give all diligence" and add these qualities to your faith. That means spiritual growth isn't passive. We have a responsibility to develop, grow, practice, and put God's Word to work in our lives. In this teaching, you'll discover: • What the Greek word for faith, pistis, actually means • What it means to add virtue and moral excellence to your faith • Why Christians should continually grow in knowledge and understanding • The biblical meaning of self-control and self-mastery • Why you should stop saying, "I can't help it" • How to develop discipline in practical, everyday situations • Why the world sometimes gets results from biblical principles while Christians only pray about them • How developing these qualities can make you useful and productive for God • The incredible promise Peter gives believers who consistently practice these things Self-control means you don't have to be ruled by every feeling, appetite, distraction, temptation, or impulse that comes your way. You can give yourself a command and follow it. And according to 2 Peter 1, as these qualities are developed and increasing in your life, you become useful and productive, grow toward spiritual maturity, and position yourself to never stumble. God has given you His Word, His Spirit, and His power. Now it's time to put His instructions into practice. 📚 Get Travis Peters' Books: https://increaseministries.com/books ❤️ Partner With Increase Ministries: https://increaseministries.com/give 🌐 Increase Ministries: https://increaseministries.com #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #SelfControl #Discipline #Faith #SpiritualGrowth #2Peter1 #TravisPeters #IncreaseMinistries

The starting point is simple: God's word never comes back empty. It accomplishes the thing He sent it to do. It heals, it delivers, and it sets people free, including a man who carried guilt and shame for over twenty years and walked out from under it in a single class. From there the call gets practical. James 1:5 says if you lack wisdom for a decision or a circumstance, ask God, and He gives generously, without rebuke or blame. No performance requirement. No thirty day clean streak. Trav walks through the time he asked God for a word over his daughter's medical testing and heard a phrase he had never used in his life, then went and found it sitting in Isaiah 61. The fear left the moment the word arrived. Then comes verse six, the warning about doubt. A double minded man keeps one foot in the spiritual and one foot in his own reasoning, and Scripture says he should not expect to receive anything. That shows up most often in health and in finances, and it usually does not sound like unbelief. It sounds like "I know God is my healer, but." Taught live on the Increase Life Bible Study. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN Why God's word always accomplishes what He sent it to do How to ask God for a word to stand on, and how to test it against Scripture Why fear and worry get disguised as love and concern What James 1:5 actually promises about wisdom and who qualifies for it What double mindedness looks like in real life, especially with health and money Why you never have to get yourself right before you ask God for help How to go to the doctor and keep your faith in God at the same time CHAPTERS 0:00 The power of one word: a twenty year weight lifted 5:33 Isaiah 55:11 and Psalm 107:20: what God's word always does 7:19 How to ask God for a word to stand on 9:40 The doctor's report on my daughter 14:01 She will grow tall like the mighty oak 22:12 James 1:5: ask for wisdom and He gives it generously 26:25 James 1:6-8: the double minded man 32:44 When your actions say God might not come through 47:46 Doctors, medicine, and where your faith belongs 56:39 God's plan is a long and satisfying life SCRIPTURES REFERENCED Psalm 107:20 (Amplified) Isaiah 55:11 (Amplified) Isaiah 61:3 Romans 10:17 James 1:5-8 (Amplified) Hebrews 4:16 Hebrews 4:2 Romans 8:1 1 John 4:18 2 Timothy 1:7 John 10:10 Galatians 6:9 If this teaching helped you, like the video and leave a comment with what stood out to you. That is exactly what the enemy is counting on. If he can dominate your thought life with fear, worry, and what if it doesn't work, he does not have to do anything else. Your beliefs follow your thoughts, your words follow your beliefs, and your actions follow your words. He gets the outcome he wanted without ever touching your circumstances. In this teaching we walk through 2 Corinthians 10:5 and Romans 12:2 in the New Living Translation, then open Matthew 6:25-34, John 14:26-27, and John 16:33 in the Amplified. Jesus gave a direct instruction: stop being worried and anxious saying what will we eat, what will we drink, how are we going to make it. That is a command, which means you have the ability to carry it out. You have power, love, and a sound and well disciplined mind, and you can answer every fear thought the same way Jesus answered Satan. It is written. Taught live on the morning call inside the Increase Academy, where we get in the Word together before the day starts. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN - Why your dominating thoughts set the direction of your life - How one negative thought stair steps into a full spiral - How to catch a thought and make it obey Christ - The scriptures that shut down fear about money, health, and the future - Why healing is always God's will, and what Mark 6 actually says - What Jesus meant by take no thought saying - How to answer what if it doesn't work with what if it does CHAPTERS 0:00 Welcome and good morning 1:00 The devil just wants to control your thought life 3:21 Take every thought captive and renew your mind 4:58 The basketball injury and the 45 second spiral 7:05 Do not be ignorant of his devices, answer with the Word 10:04 The woman who wanted to lay hands on her brother 13:47 Is it always God's will to heal 20:14 How Jesus shut Satan down, it is written 22:56 Matthew 6, stop being worried and anxious 27:22 John 14 and John 16:33, His peace and courage when trouble comes 36:11 Closing prayer SCRIPTURES REFERENCED 2 Corinthians 10:5 Romans 12:2 (New Living Translation) Mark 4 Philippians 4:19 1 Peter 2:24 2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified) Acts 10:38 Mark 6:5-6 2 Corinthians 9:8 Matthew 6:25-34 (Amplified) John 14:12 John 14:26-27 (Amplified) John 16:33 (Amplified) 1 Corinthians 2:16 James 1:5 Philippians 4:8 If this teaching helped you, like the video and leave a comment with what stood out to you. They are a perspective problem. We do not understand our relationship with the Father. In this teaching from Romans 5:1-2 in the Amplified Bible, we look at what it means to be justified, which the Amplified defines as acquitted of sin and declared blameless before God. Acquitted means every charge against you has been dropped. Then we walk into the remarkable state of grace you already stand in, firmly, safely and securely, and I give you the definition of grace I want you to write down. I also show you why you already know how to receive from God. You did it with salvation. You heard something, you prayed something, and you believed you received it with no proof at all. That is faith, and it is the same process for everything else. This is Part 17 of the Growing in God series, taught live on our morning call inside the Increase Academy. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN What justified actually means in Romans 5:1 (acquitted, all charges dropped) Why you already have faith, and how you proved it at salvation What the remarkable state of grace is and why you are already standing in it The definition of grace: full and free access to all the Father is and all He has Why God is not tolerating your access, He wants to give it to you How to approach the throne of grace boldly instead of timidly Why the fear of missing God's will is keeping good people frozen CHAPTERS 0:00 Why most of our struggles trace back to one misunderstanding 1:32 Romans 5:1 and what justified actually means 3:01 Acquitted: every charge against you has been dropped 3:37 You already used faith once, and here is how 7:54 Romans 5:2 and the remarkable state of grace you stand in 10:19 Grace defined: full and free access to all He is and all He has 10:54 The fridge and the pantry at my dad's house 14:12 Hebrews 4:16: come to the throne boldly 15:11 Stop being afraid of missing God's will 18:59 Prayer SCRIPTURES REFERENCED Romans 5:1-2 (Amplified, and the Passion Translation on permanent access) Romans 8:15 (the spirit of adoption, Abba Father) Romans 8:32 (He freely gave His Son, will He not freely give us all things) Romans 12:2 (renew your mind) Hebrews 4:16 (the throne of grace) 1 Peter 4:10 (stewarding the grace God gave you) If this teaching helped you, like the video and leave a comment with what stood out to you. Bible Breakdown: Galatians 5:1-26 | How to Walk in the Spirit

📝 Get the Full Study Guide Here: https://bit.ly/4wTxuCM 🎓 Join Increase Academy and start growing with God every day: http://increaseacademy.com/ 🔥 Get Daily Increase Devos: https://increaseministries.com/start-here What does it actually mean to walk in the Spirit? In this line-by-line Bible study of Galatians 5:1-26, Travis Peters breaks down Paul's teaching on grace, freedom in Christ, walking with the Holy Spirit, and the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5 reveals an important distinction between trying to earn right standing with God through your performance and living from the grace and freedom Jesus has already provided. Paul warns believers about slipping back into a works-based mindset and shows us a better way: living by faith and being led by the Holy Spirit. You'll also discover a practical key in Galatians 5:16: make it a habit to seek the Holy Spirit and respond to His guidance. Instead of responding impulsively to fear, pressure, anger, temptation, or circumstances, we can develop the habit of becoming aware of God's presence and following His direction. In this teaching, you'll learn: • What it really means to be free from the law and live under grace • Why you cannot earn righteousness through good works • What "fallen from grace" actually means in the context of Galatians 5 • How false teaching can slowly distort your understanding of faith • How to walk habitually with the Holy Spirit • How to become more responsive to the Holy Spirit's guidance • Why the fruit of the Spirit is the result of His presence within you • What to do when you're struggling with joy, peace, patience, or self-control • How awareness of God's presence can change the way you handle money, relationships, business decisions, pressure, and everyday life The fruit of the Spirit isn't something you have to manufacture through willpower. As you become increasingly aware of the Holy Spirit living within you and learn to respond to His guidance, His presence produces fruit in your life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Make this your habit today: Seek the Holy Spirit first. Become aware of His presence. Listen for His guidance. Then respond when He leads. 📚 More resources from Increase Ministries: 🔥 Daily Increase Devos: https://increaseministries.com/start-here 🎓 Increase Academy: http://increaseacademy.com/ 📕 Books: https://increaseministries.com/books ❤️ Give: https://increaseministries.com/give 🌐 Increase Ministries: https://increaseministries.com #Galatians5 #WalkInTheSpirit #HolySpirit #FruitOfTheSpirit #GraceOfGod #BibleStudy #ChristianTeaching #GalatiansBibleStudy #LedByTheSpirit #Faith #IncreaseMinistries

In this teaching from Increase Academy, Travis Peters walks through Galatians 5 and reveals a powerful truth about walking in the Holy Spirit: the fruit of the Spirit is the result of His presence within us. Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control. These aren't things you have to manufacture through willpower. The Holy Spirit already lives within you. The key is learning to live aware of His presence, seek Him, and respond to His guidance. In this teaching, you'll discover: • What it really means to walk habitually in the Holy Spirit • Why the fruit of the Spirit is the result of His presence within you • How to respond to problems from the Spirit instead of reacting impulsively • Why awareness of God's presence changes how you handle fear and anxiety • How to experience peace even when your circumstances haven't changed • What biblical patience actually looks like while you're waiting • How to stop letting fear, worry, anger, and your circumstances control your reactions • Why the sinful nature doesn't have the authority over you that you may think it does • How to seek the Holy Spirit's guidance in everyday decisions • How to walk in joy and peace regardless of what your bank account, business, or circumstances are saying Galatians 5:16 tells us to walk habitually in the Holy Spirit, seeking Him and responding to His guidance. That's the key. When unexpected news comes, when the money looks tight, when somebody makes you angry, or when fear tries to take over, don't simply react. Stop. Become aware of the Holy Spirit's presence. Seek Him. Listen for His guidance. Then respond. The Holy Spirit hasn't left you because you're frustrated, impatient, worried, or afraid. He is still with you. The question is whether you're living conscious of His presence. When you become aware of the One who lives within you, His presence begins producing fruit in your life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
