#7 Coaching at a Professional Level & Embracing Change - Ulian Goga

Ulian Goga - Coaching in 1st Division Azerbaijan, Embracing Change in Life, Superstition, & more... This conversation honestly could have gone on for many more hours, and I really thank Ulian Goga for coming on the podcast and opening up and sharing his experience and knowledge. In this episode I had the pleasure to hear Ulian's personal story of how he started coaching. What happened for him to go from coaching teams in the U.S. to Portugal to Azerbaijan. How did he deal with the process of change and confronting challenges. What changes when a coach moves from amateur leagues to professional 1st division teams. What is a typical microcycle at the highest level and more about football. But we didn't stop there, also diving into more philosophical topics about life. Like planning vs preparation, can there be preparation without planning? Is discipline and a strong mind one and the same or separated? How has the power of ideas shaped the modern world, and how to deal with distractions and enjoy boredom! I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did! -🔔 Subscribe for weekly episodes on mindset, success, and self-growth. 📩 Join the newsletter (recommended): https://substack.com/@jasonsoares 📸 Follow me on Instagram(daily updates and posts): https://www.instagram.com/theinsecure_overachiever/ 🎥 TikTok for quick clips: https://www.tiktok.com/@theinsecureoverachiever -0:00 Introduction1:06 Path to Azerbaijan 3:50 First Impressions9:12 Ulian's Coaching Process28:20 Life Coaching at a Professional Level 31:13 Ideal Microcycles 45:42 Football Methodology 48:58 Change in Personal Life and Mindset52:00 Adaptation to New Coaching Staff56:02 Building Culture1:01:32 Planning vs Preparation1:13:37 Change and Dealing with It1:22:11 Life Cycles 1:25:51 Superstition 1:37:23 Discipline vs Strong Mind1:54:21 The Power of Ideas1:59:51 Enjoying Boredom2:08:00 Ending Questions

#6 Inner Trust, Lost Trust in Romantic Relationships, and Healing Generational Trauma

In this episode I had the amazing opportunity to bring on Joana as a guest to discuss topics principally related to women and their relationship with themselves and others. What is the importance of building inner trust and a secure relationship with ourselves without self-sabotage. How then does the relationship we have with ourselves influence the way we interact with the world around us and the people in our life. If trauma is passed down from generation to generation, what can we do to recognise it and change? How can we fully heal that trauma and trust again. This can be so important to avoid the growing animosity between men and women in the modern world and dating scene. How can women embrace being feminine and strong and independent at the same time? and more ...-🔔 Subscribe for weekly episodes on mindset, success, and self-growth. 📩 Join the newsletter (it’s fire): https://substack.com/@jasonsoares 📸 Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theinsecure_overachiever/ 🎥 TikTok for quick clips: https://www.tiktok.com/@theinsecureoverachiever -0:00 Introduction0:35 Message to Women1:30 Building Inner Trust and a Relationship with Oneself6:55 Relationships with Others and the World12:50 Subconscious Repatterning and Healing Generational Trauma15:14 The Inner Garden Program 18:20 Thriving to Trust19:49 Lost Trust in Romantic Relationships23:15 The Process of Healing27:10 Men Helping Women in Relationships30:40 Animosity between Women and Men36:50 Women Embracing Being Feminine 43:50 Identifying where we Should Focus51:57 Hope for the Future53:16 Concluding Questions#podcast #interview

#4 Managing Training Made Easy, an Alternative View on Physical Conditioning, & Training BS - Luis Preto

This episode, I got the opportunity to ask Luis about his book on Managing Training Made Easy, and some of the training BS in the fitness world. He shares his alternative view on physical conditioning, proposing that speed and flexibility are mostly included under strength training and unnecessary to place in their own categories, as well as distinguishing that reaction speed isn't a physical ability. I really appreciate the fact that Luis takes his time to explain in detail exactly why and how his viewpoint makes sense. Having studied sports sciences myself, I did find myself overwhelmed with the number training factors that I was taught. It's over-confusing and over-complicated, Luis does an amazing job simplifying this information to the basic factors of strength and endurance. Luis has various degrees on sports sciences and high performance, as well as psychology. I truly hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. -Make sure you subscribe and check out my other social platforms.Tip: the newsletter is absolutely fire!!Read it here ⬇️https://substack.com/@jasonsoareshttps://www.instagram.com/theinsecure_overachiever/https://www.tiktok.com/@theinsecureoverachiever -Chapters0:00 Introduction 1:39 Training BS & Overcomplexity 7:13 An Alternative Perspective on Physical Conditioning 10:19 Explosive Strength and Speed are Redundant 18:49 Speed on the Horizontal Vector 28:25 Reaction Speed is not a Physical Ability 36:18 Flexibility does not need it's one Category 44:04 Eccentric Training 47:55 Dynamic vs Static Stretching 51:42 The Importance of Static Stretching 54:30 Beyond Basic Endurance 1:11:20 Ending Questions
