    Change: From Hospital to Consultancy then Industry

    Change can be daunting but Syed makes it look so easy. Syed is a Clinical Pharmacist who previously spent 6 years working in various NHS Trusts including Guys & St Thomas, Lewisham, West Middlesex, and Ealing Hospital. During his time in the NHS he was a member of patient safety, Formulary and Drugs and Therapeutic committees. In 2014 he left the NHS as a Women and Children's Directorate Pharmacist and became a Management Consultant at WG Consultancy. At WG he was involved in the development of medical materials, project managing HTA submission, and leading on advisory boards and workshops. Syed has worked in pharma for 6 years, where he has worked as an MSL, Senior Scientific Advisor and is currently a Medical Affairs Manager. Join me as I talk to Syed about his interesting journey and how he embraces change within his career.

    Health Economists: what do they do and how can you get there?

    We all know that Health Economists are vital to the economy but do we really know what they do or what pharmacists can bring to this role?  In this episode I am joined by Viola Geraldo. We discuss Viola’s exciting journey to becoming a Health Economist and how you can leverage your skills. Viola is an Associate in Consulting Services at IQVIA. She has completed her Masters in Health Economics at the London School of Economics and an internship with MSD. Viola is passionate about making a change in access to medicines and revealing alternative careers for Pharmacists. Viola hopes to progress in her career in Health Economics & Market Access whilst helping others along the way!

    Know Yourself

    In this episode, I'm joined by Giovana Pezzi who is a Medical Leader at CompliMed (a Pharmalex company). We explore her journey through the pharmaceutical industry and figure out her tips for success. Giovana has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 11 years in roles such as Medical Affairs Associate and Medical Scientific Liaison. In her current role she manages a team of pharmacists and other professionals, providing medical and compliance services to pharmaceutical companies.  On top of that, she's passionate about her work, helping people, traveling and yoga.
