Aaminah was studying to become a lawyer in Scotland then decided to take a dream trip to Paris which changed her career trajectory. Being enthralled in the energy of Fashion Week convinced her to start learning and researching everything she could about the fashion industry. She now works at Farfetch, a leading e-commerce fashion/tech company that went public in September 2018 and was named as one of Fast Company's 50 most innovative companies in 2016. It is one of the fashion industry’s only “unicorns” that provides a platform for consumers to buy luxury fashion from boutiques and brands around the world. She’s flown across the world, and now she’s helping to build other modes of transportation technology with Uber. Megan started her career working at Hyundai, then transitioned to a job that she loved at NBC Universal before being recruited to work at Uber. She now works with the Uber scooter team during one of the company’s most exciting years as it prepares for an IPO.     #3 - Blockchain and Removing Creative Barriers (Intuit/Stanford Business School)

    "I'm very much drawn to a regret minimization framework. The mindset is, what would you regret more? Trying this and it not working out... or not trying it because you were scared, someone else does it, and they have the success that you should've had for yourself. What would upset you more at the end of the day?" Ian Panchèvre graduated from Yale University undergrad and was then pre-admitted to both Harvard and Stanford business schools. He chose Stanford where he is studying design thinking, advanced technologies, innovation strategy, and technology entrepreneurship. He jointed Intuit’s Advanced Technology group where he lead its blockchain and distributed ledger technology research. Afterwards, he spent 14 weeks during the summer to travel to Europe on vacation, which soon turned into an entrepreneurial venture helping some of the local artists. In this episode, we discuss how to remove your personal barriers that prevent you from starting a business or creating something.     #2 - Cannabis and how to think about big questions (Intuit/Rise Logistics)

    "I think people are a little startled that I was potentially on my way to go to rabbinical school to become a rabbi and now I work for a cannabis distribution company. And they're like... what do those things have in common?" Ben Poretzky graduated from the University of Pennsylvania to join Intuit's Product Management Rotational Program. After 2 years, he decided to travel the world and spend time in Israel where he was studying to become a rabbi. Then after meeting an inspiring entrepreneur, he was convinced to jump back into Product Management at Rise Logistics, a cannabis logistics company. In this episode, we discuss how to think about big questions and solving problems, building empathy with your teams, giving and getting constructive feedback, working in a startup vs. a corporation, and the quirks of the cannabis industry.
