    Episode 2 Access and Stereotypes

    The Intersection is a weekly podcast that discusses issues related to men, including, integrity, faith, honesty, and character. Tom and Wes discuss the issue of Access and how a lack of access impacts those outside the dominant group, specifically, as it pertains to sports.  Equal access to resources, programs, equipment, mentoring, support, and connections does not exist for those outside the dominant group.  Overgeneralizing, or, stereotyping impacts access. In a broad sense, race is a social construct developed by the dominant group. The dominant group decides the rules which gain individuals access to resources.
