    Options Companies Have To Address Rising VMware Licensing Costs

    Since the acquisition of VMWare by Broadcom, there has been lots of noise in the industry about licensing changes that are causing some customers to see their VMWare licensing costs rise significantly. Within our customer base, it has not been uncommon to see these costs rise by 3 times, but there have been documented cases of companies seeing 10 times if they were buying their licensing through the VMware Virtual Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) program. In this episode of The Invero Show, we will explore a number of options that we are guiding customers on in order to keep their IT budgets in check. There is no reason why a company should just accept these cost increases as a normal course of business, there are options and it’s important to arm yourself with all of the information available before locking yourself into a potentially costly multi-year agreement with VMWare.

    Content Oversharing and GenAI / Copilot

    The data that generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT and Copilot for Microsoft 365, can have access to is creating a data governance nightmare for organizations because they don’t know what sensitive data might get surfaced in GenAI responses to user prompts. This is not a new problem because data has been overshared for years, but the risks were far less than they are now with GenAI. In this session you will learn what oversharing is, why it’s important and what you can do about it, and what you can do around preparedness to get up and running on Copilot quickly while managing risk at the same time. The solution isn’t to choose not to adopt GenAI due to any fears of the risks that this might bring to your organization because that could cause your company to fall behind the competition. This is a problem that can be solved.
