Welcome to At the Table. This is not a platform for polished answers. It is a place for honest conversations about grace and what it looks like when it truly changes a life. Around this table you will hear from men and women who have walked different roads. Participants. Alumni. Donors. Volunteers. Pastors. Leaders. Some have come out of prison. Some have funded homes. Some have mentored through long nights. All of them share one thing in common. At some point, they needed grace. And grace met them. Each episode explores three simple movements. Grace received. Grace lived. Grace extended. We talk about what people were walking through before things changed. The moment something shifted. The habits and discipline that sustain transformation. And why believing in grace compels people to give, serve, mentor, build, and stay faithful. This is not about highlighting heroes. It is about telling the truth. None of us are self made.     The King Among The Least Of These

    What if the people society pushes to the margins are the very people Jesus calls us to see? In this special episode of At the Table: Voices of Restoration, Grace Church Teaching Pastor Matt Williams and his daughter, Causey Williams, take over the microphones for a deeply personal conversation about calling, justice, ministry, and restoration. Long before Causey became a criminal justice student at Clemson University or spent her summer interning with JUMPSTART South Carolina, Matt had an unexpected encounter inside a South Carolina prison that changed the way he understood faith. As a teenager, he met incarcerated men whose hunger for Jesus challenged his assumptions and showed him that God was working far beyond the world he knew. Years later, Matt and Causey are seeing that same truth from two different perspectives. Matt reflects on the growth of Grace Church, the importance of serving beyond the church’s walls, and the lessons the church has learned through its partnership with JUMPSTART SC. He also offers a powerful examination of Matthew 25, where Jesus identifies Himself with those who are hungry, overlooked, imprisoned, and marginalized. Causey shares how studying criminal justice and working alongside JUMPSTART SC participants complicated the simple labels of “good people” and “bad people.” Through hearing participants’ stories, she witnessed how the gospel can change a person’s heart, priorities, relationships, and future. Their conversation explores the tension between accountability and restoration, the barriers people continue to face after incarceration, and the temptation to assume someone else will step forward to help. It also offers encouragement for anyone trying to understand God’s calling: you do not have to see the entire journey to faithfully do what He has placed in front of you. This episode invites us to look beyond a person’s past, believe that genuine transformation is possible, and remember that when we serve those who have been pushed aside, we are serving the King Himself.     The Kitchen Table Effect

In this episode of At the Table: Voices of Restoration, Abby sits down with Roger, executive chef at JUMPSTART South Carolina, to explore how his three decades of culinary experience prepared him for a role that extends far beyond the kitchen. Roger shares how an influential chef shaped his approach to teaching and why patience, personal connection, and hands-on instruction are central to the JUMPSTART SC Culinary Arts Program. Through training in food safety, knife skills, cooking techniques, budgeting, and kitchen economics, participants gain practical tools they can carry into the workplace and life beyond the program.     More Than Their Worst Decision

    Most people think they understand the criminal justice system...until they meet the people living inside it. As a criminal justice student at Clemson University, Causey Williams expected to learn about policies, procedures, and the legal system. What she didn't expect was how a summer internship with JUMPSTART SC would completely reshape the way she viewed incarceration, rehabilitation, and restoration. In this conversation, Abby and Causey explore the difference between learning about reentry in the classroom and witnessing it firsthand. They discuss the realities returning citizens face after release, the barriers that often make rebuilding difficult, and why community, meaningful work, and second chances are essential to lasting restoration.     For years, Anthony Mullinax felt trapped in addiction, hopelessness, and cycles he could not break on his own. Even when he wanted a different life, he did not know how to escape the path he was on.
